NMAT 2021: The registration process has been started on August 03, 2021. The candidates who want to apply for it can fill the NMAT 2021 application form by November 10, 2021. What is NMAT Exam 2021?

NMAT, being a national-level exam, is a gateway for admissions into various management programs. NMAT or NMIMS Management Aptitude Test is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The purpose of conducting the NMAT by GMAC Exam is to offer admissions to aspiring candidates into various management courses, as offered by NMIMS and other institutes taking NMAT scores.

Candidates can take a maximum of 3 attempts with a compulsory gap of at least 15 days between 2 attempts. NMAT is a national-level exam that offers admission into MBA/ PGDM courses whose scores are accepted by top institutes. This exam offers admission in around 37+ B-Schools in India and 10+ colleges located outside India. Candidates can choose 5 colleges for admission during the NMAT registration process.

NMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the NMAT application form 2021, the candidate must check the eligibility criteria. The authorities have specified NMAT 2021 eligibility criteria. Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have completed graduation under 10+2+3 or 4 years of education irrepective of any stream.
  • Candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate in the final year of Graduation.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for NMAT 2021. Admission is mainly granted on the provisional basis of graduation mark sheet and certificate of qualifying examination.

Age limit:

  • There is no age bar to attempt NMAT Exam. Candidates of any age can apply for NMAT exam.

Work Experience:

  • During the final selection process, candidates with two to three years will be given previliaged.
  • Even candidates with no work experience are also eligible.

Maximum Attempts:

  • Candidates can attempt atleast three times with a gap of maximum 15 days.

Eligibility Criteria For Overseas Candidates:

  • Candidate must have done full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidate must hold a score of 600 or above in GMAT is essential.
  • Clearance certificate will be provided by the Government from the native country and a valid student Visa from Indian Embassy in candidate’s country.

NMAT Application Form 2021

NMAT application process commenced on August 3, 2021. The last date to register for the NMAT application includes November 10, 2021. For registering successfully, the candidate must create an NMAT registration account by using an email ID. The candidate will provide their details, preference and must upload photographs. The registration fee of NMAT is Rs 2300. The candidates can apply for NMAT 2021 registration through online mode from the official website of GMAC i.e. nmat.org. In order to fill the application form, the candidates can follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Registration

  • – Firstly, the candidates have to complete the registration process by entering their name, country, mobile number and click on “Register” button.
  • – The email id and the password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
  • – Then login from NMAT homepage using the register email ID and password.

Step 2: Selection of B-School- After logging in, the candidates have to select the preferred programmes and B-schools for admission under the “School Preference” section. 

Step 3: Upload Photograph- The applicants have to now proceed to upload a recent, coloured, passport-sized photograph. The file size should not be more than 1 MB and should be in JPG/JPEG or PNG format.

Step 4: Select exam-taking option between test centre and online remote proctored mode at home

Step 5: Submit the Application Form – In the end, the candidates need to check all the information mentioned in the previous steps and correct the errors, if any and then submit the same.  

After submitting the NMAT registration form 2021, any changes apart from “School Preference” and “Communication Preference” will not be allowed. On successful submission of the application form, candidates will be able to see their registration number for NMAT by GMAC displayed on the screen.

How To Retake NMAT Exam 2021?

NMAT Exam Retake Process: Candidates who wish to retake the exam of NMAT must be aware of the rules. The NMAT Retake rules which are specified by the officials are given below:

  1. An aspirant can reschedule or retake the test within 72 hours from the date prior NMAT exam was scheduled.
  2. The test-takers will be allocated new slots on a First Come, First served basis.

Candidates will be allowed to take NMAT by GMAC exam a maximum of 3 times during the time span of this 73-day open window. This will mainly include the first attempt plus a maximum of two retake attempts. No shows are even considered as attempts. NMAT retake registration option will be enabled in the candidate’s dashboard after the exam date. Candidates can easily register for a retake by clicking on the retake section.

How To Apply For NMAT 2021 Reschedule?

NMAT Exam Pattern 2021

NMAT 2021 Syllabus

GMAC will release the NMAT 2021 admit card within 24 hours after the successful NMAT registration and rescheduling of the NMAT 2021 exam. Those who have successfully filled the application form for NMAT 2021 can download the hall ticket from the dashboard. To download the NMAT 2021 admit card, the candidates will have to use their login credentials, such as registration ID and password. It is mandatory for the candidates to bring their NMAT 2021 admit card along with the confirmation email.

It is mandatory for each candidate to carry their NMAT admit card 2021, confirmation email printout, a valid photo ID and signature ID (original) to the allotted exam centre. The candidates are advised to reach the allotted exam centre 30 minutes prior to the exam starting time.

NMAT Cutoff 2021

The candidates who are appearing for the NMAT 2021 exam can check the cutoff released by GMAC on their official website after the declaration of the final result. The NMAT 2021 cutoff includes the minimum requirement of the marks that need to be considered for admission in the participating institutes. Key Changes in NMAT 2021

Some changes have been observed in NMAT. With the current examination session, GMAC has made several changes from the previous session. Some of the key changes in the NMAT are described below:

  • Review score instantly: Candidates will get an option of reviewing the score right after completong the NMAT exam 2021. This enables candidates to decide whether they are satisfied with their attempt. If candidate feels that score is not upto mark, they can appear for NMAT after 15 days.
  • Download scorecard within 48 hours: Candidates have the flexibility of downloading the NMAT scorecard within 2 days of examination. The official scorecard will be released after the result is announced.
  • 10% less questions: NMAT 2021 comprise of 108 questions that are equally distributed in 3 main sections of NMAT.
  • NMAT 2021 is being conducted in two modes i.e. CBT and remote proctored exam from home.
  • NMAT will be conducted in as many as 68 exam cities with 73 exam centres.
  • Increase in application fee: Candidates need to pay Rs 2300 and Rs 2800 to register under early and late registration window respectively.
