Nationality:

A candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit:

  1. A candidate must have attained the age of 21 and must not be above the age of 32 on January 01, 2021, i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier than January 02, 1989 and not later than January 01, 2000.
  2. The upper age relaxation is 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-servicemen categories and 10 years of relaxation for PWDs whose permanent disability is 40% or more.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from any University incorporated by an act of the Central or a State Legislature in India or an Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

OPSC Civil Service Examination Fee 2022

The candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of INR 500 only. It means, the fee paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor adjusted or held in reserve for any other examination or recruitment. The candidates belonging to SC, ST of Odisha by birth only and persons with disability, whose permanent disability is 40% or more are exempted from payment of this fee.

Candidates are required to make online payment of applicable examination fee(s) through the OPSC portal using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking facilities and other financial instruments enlisted in the Payment Page/Gateway of the Odisha Government Treasury Portal.

  3. Not furnishing copies of the certificates/documents etc. as prescribed by the exam conducting authority.
  4. Suppression of facts about eligibility, if any.

OPSC Civil Service Exam Schemes 2022

OPSC Civil Service Examination shall comprise of the following test patterns:

  1. Preliminary
  2. Mains
  3. Personality Test or Interview

Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary test shall be called by the Commission to appear in the Mains Test. Qualifying marks in the prelims is decided by the Commission. The main exam will comprise of the Odia Language, English, and English Essay. General Studies will have two optional subjects and two papers as prescribed in the given schedule.

Those who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the Main Exams as decided by the Commission at their discretion shall be called for a personality test. The personality test or interview shall carry 250 marks. There is no minimum qualifying marks for personality test or interview.

The total marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam and personality test/interview would determine their ranking. The candidates will be allotted to multiple kinds of services keeping in view their ranks in the exam and their preferences for various services.
