RRB ALP Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply for RRB ALP?
Candidates can apply for RRB ALP in an online mode only. The official website of all the RRBs will host the link to complete the registration process. Candidates need to visit the RRB website under which he/she wishes to get the recruitment. The space below mentions the stepwise procedure to apply online.
Step 1 – Visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board under which you aspire for the recruitment.
Step 2– Click on the tab for the RRB ALP recruitment details.
Step 3– Click the link/ button stating ‘New Registration.’
Step 4– Enter the details such as Name, Date of Birth, Aadhar Number, Address, Parent’s Name, class 10th details, Mobile Number and Email Id to complete the registration.
Step 5– Review and confirm the details filled.
Step 6– Fill in complete details including educational qualification, community, gender, reservation details and more.
Step 7– Pay the application fee depending upon the category.
Step 8– Upload all the documents, including a photograph, SC/ST certificate and scribe photograph in the specified format.

RRB ALP Application Form Correction
There may be instances when the candidates make errors while filling out the RRB ALP application form. The Railway Recruitment Board provides a facility to make corrections to the filled-in application form. To use the facility of RRB ALP application form correction, candidates need to pay a fee for the same. Applicants can use the facility to modify the application form twice within the window.
Note:The ALP application form can be modified from February 20 to 29, 2024.
All the details filled in the application form are not available for modifications. Thus, candidates are advised not to rely on the application form correction window and fill the form cautiously. Details that are not available for editing/ modification are as follows.

RRB ALP Application Status
Soon after the conclusion of the RRB application process, the railway board starts the scrutiny of the application forms. After completion of the application scrutiny, RRB will provide a facility for checking the application status. Candidates can check the RRB ALP application status by visiting the official website of RRB. Registration number and date of birth act as the login credentials to check the RRB ALP application status.
All the candidates who are found eligible as per their claims in the application form can participate in the further recruitment process. Candidates whose applications are accepted will find their RRB ALP application status as ‘Provisionally Eligible’. At the same time, ineligible candidates will see their RRB ALP application status as ‘Rejected’ along with the reason for rejection.
RRB ALP Admit Card
All the candidates whose application status reflects ‘Provisionally Eligible’ will be issued the RRB ALP admit card. Candidates can visit the official websites of the respective RRBs and download the RRB ALP call letter. RRB will not entertain requests for the issuance of the admit card in any mode other than online. Candidates need to carry a hard copy of the ALP admit card on the examination day. Additionally, candidates need to bring a photo ID proof. Failing to take the hall ticket with the photo ID proof on the examination will lead to denial of entry to the examination hall.

RRB ALP Selection Process 2024
The Railway Recruitment Board follows a set of processes known as the RRB ALP recruitment process to select candidates for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians in different RRBs. The space below mentions the RRB ALP recruitment/ selection process.
RRB ALP First Stage CBT
The first stage of the RRB ALP & Technician exam is a computer-based test, and it is qualifying in nature.
The paper contains 75 objective type questions (MCQs), and the total time allowed for the paper is 60 minutes.
Each question carries 1 mark, and the total mark of the paper is 75
There is negative marking for incorrect answers, and one-third mark is deducted for one wrong answer.
RRB ALP Second Stage CBT
The candidates who qualify for the first stage cutoff will have to appear for CBT 2.
The question paper has two parts – part A and Part B.
Part A will have 100 questions, and the total time is 90 minutes.
Part B will have 75 questions, and the duration of the paper is 60 minutes.
There is negative marking for incorrect answers, and one-third mark is deducted for one wrong answer.
RRB ALP CBAT
The computer-Based Aptitude Test is only applicable for assistant loco pilot posts.
Question papers are made available in both English and Hindi.
There are five test batters. Candidates need to score certain marks in each test battery to qualify for the exam.
RRB ALP Document verification
Candidates who clear all the stages are called for document verification by the respective RRBs.
Candidates need to carry the original documents asked by RRBs on the day of document verification.
If any candidate fails to submit original documents or if any document is found fake, the candidature of that candidate will be cancelled.
