RRB JE CBT 1: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts exams to hire qualified resources for the position of Junior Engineer (JE) in departments every year. The RRB JE CBT-I is a central government exam conducted to hire talented aspirants for the JE posts in different Railway departments. 

RRB gauges applicants’ capability by conducting several rounds included in the selection process. In the first round, a Computer-based Test (CBT) 1 and CBT 2 are conducted. Exam Summary

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is going to carry out the RRB JE CBT 2022 in the last week of May 2022. The applicants applying for the JE posts are usually from engineering and science backgrounds. Indian Railways is the superior authority that supervises all the exam-related activities and also selects candidates for the positions of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer IT (JE IT), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).  The RRB JE CBT first stage result is determined by the candidate’s performance in the examination. Candidates who pass CBT 1 will be eligible to take CBT 2 at one of the designated testing centres. The Board will announce the cut-off for each stage, which will specify the minimum score required to be eligible for the next round. The marks will differ depending on the candidate’s categories. The RRB JE Recruitment has four stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, medical examination, and document verification. Stages of Exam

The Railway Recruitment Board will decide on the procedure for recruiting Junior Engineers for various positions in the railways. The RRB JE selection procedure is divided into three stages, and candidates who pass all three stages will be hired by the railways.  The following is the RRB JE selection procedure:

  • CBT 1: Computer Based Test Stage I consists of 100 questions for 100 marks, with a time limit of 90 minutes.
  • CBT 2: Computer Based Test Stage II consists of 150 objective type questions with multiple choices, which is 120 minutes.
  • 3rd Stage: This stage includes document verification and medical examination.

In RRB JE CBT 1 exam, there will be negative marking for incorrect answers. For each incorrect answer, a third of the marks awarded for that question will be deducted.  Therefore, the aspirants should carefully choose the right answer out of the given options.

How To Solve RRB JE Previous Years’ Question Papers?

The RRB JE scorecard will be available a few days after the official website announces the result. To download the RRB JE Scorecard 2022 without any confusion, candidates can simply follow the instructions below.

Step 2: Go to the ‘RRB JE Scorecard' link and click on it.

The following is the procedure that an applicant must follow in order to submit the RRB JE application form successfully:

  • To open the online application form for your desired zones or regions, you must visit the RRBs official website.
  • The next step is to select the job position for which you want to apply online.
  • After that, click on the "Apply" button.
  • You'll see a link that says "New Registration Link." Please choose that to continue.
  • Following that, a page with several blanks will appear. You must correctly complete the form.
  • After filling out your qualifications and personal information, you must pay the required fee to submit the form.
  • Keep in mind that the candidate should keep the following information on hand for future reference.
  • The fee payment transaction ID, the registration number, and the communication details, which should not be deleted until the results are available.
  • Any previous year candidate will not be permitted to apply for the RRB JE recruitment 2022.

RRB JE CBT 1 2022: Required Documents

Application Fee Payment

You can fill out the RRB JE application form online and pay the required fee on the official website. The procedure for paying the application fee varies by category. Payment for the RRB JE Application Form can be done in one of the following ways:

  • Online payment options include net banking, credit card, and debit card.
  • RRB JE application fees can be paid offline using an E-challan, which must be submitted in cash at an SBI bank.

Modifications to RRB JE Application Form 2022

Candidates should be aware that once the information has been entered, they will not be able to change it. You can only change a few details, but you must pay a fee. During the verification phase, if there is a mismatch in the information provided on the exam form, you will be disqualified from the selection process. RRB JE Correction: Important Facts | Basic Information

In addition, there are only two ways to change the form. After two attempts, you will be unable to change the form. 

  • The modification price is Rs 250 per modification.
  • After the application process is completed, you will not be able to make any changes.
  • If you want to change your category from Reserved (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Ex-SM, widows, etc.) to Unreserved or OBC, you'll have to pay Rs 250 plus another Rs 100.

Age Criteria

Candidates must meet the required eligibility criteria to apply for the Junior Engineer position in the RRB Recruitment Exam 2022. The following are the minimum eligibility requirements to apply for the RRB JE exam 2022:

  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit for all candidates is 18 years, while the maximum age limit for General, OBC, and SC/ST candidates is 33, 36, and 38 years respectively. 
  • Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens or have migrated to India before January 1, 1962. The candidate must be of Indian origin and have migrated to India from Sri Lanka, Burma, Kenya, Pakistan, Zaire, Malawi, East African countries of Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Vietnam in the case of Tibetan refugees, Bhutan or Nepal.
  • Age Relaxation: Apart from the age limit for applying for the RRB Junior Engineer CBT 2022, the authorities have given age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

Education Qualification

The Indian Railway Recruitment Board will release the RRB JE Cut-off for different regions after conducting the CBT exam. 1. The objective of the RRB JE cut-off is to select candidates for the CBT Stage 2 examination. Based on 2019 RRB JE cut-off marks, candidates approximately 15 times the total category-wise JE vacancy will be shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process, i.e. CBT 2. According to previous year’s data, RRB JE cut-off 2022 for General Category was 40% while 30% for OBC & 25% for SC and ST candidates. CBT 1 covers a total of 100 marks, and CBT 2 covers 150 marks.
