SBI Clerk 2019: SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the exam, candidates must check if the fulfill all the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria as tabulated below:

Nationality1.  A candidate must be:

6.  5. a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam and have the intention of settling permanently in India.

Age LimitAs on 1st January 2019, the minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years and the maximum age limit is 28 years. There is upper age relaxation for reserved categories:

SBI Clerk 2019: SBI Clerk Application Form

The SBI Clerk application form will be made available online. Candidates will be able to apply for the exam from the official website of SBI: sbi.co.in.

Requirements Of Photo & Signature

The requirements of Photograph and Signature that are to be uploaded while applying for the exam are as under:

  1. The Photograph should be recent, colored and of passport size. The dimension of the scanned image of the photo should be 200 pixels x 230 pixels and the size should be 20 kb to 50 kb. It should be in JPEG format.
  2. The Signature should be on a white paper. The dimension of the signature should be 140 pixels x 60 pixels and the size should be 10 kb to 20 kb.

The selection process of SBI Clerks is conducted in the following stages:

  1. Stage 1: SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam

As you can see, the three sections are separately timed. This means you have to finish each of the three sections within the allocated time.

Candidates who clear the overall as well as sectional SBI Clerk cut off marks will be eligible to appear for SBI Clerk Mains exam.

The Main exam too is separately timed.

Both Prelims and Mains will be objective in nature with Multiple Type Questions (MCQs). Also, except the English Language section, all other sections will be available bilingually, i.e. in English and Hindi. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks allocated to a question for every wrong answer.

SBI Clerk Provisional Allotment

Provisional allotment of SBI Clerks will be based on the marks secured by them in the Main exam. The marks of Prelims will not be added.

SBI Clerk Final Selection

Final selection of candidates will be based on Document Verification subject and qualification in the Test of Regional Language.

SBI Clerk 2019: SBI Clerk Preparation

SBI Clerk 2019: SBI Clerk Cut Off

For both Prelims and Mains there are two kinds of SBI Clerk cutoff:

a. Sectional SBI Clerk Cut Off Marks : The minimum marks candidates must secure in the individual sections of the exam.

b. Overall SBI Clerk Cut Off Marks: The minimum total marks that candidates must secure adding the marks obtained in the respective sections.

Candidates must clear both these cut offs in order to get qualified in that particular round.

Both these cutoffs are determined based on multiple factors, like:

  1. Total number of candidates appearing for the exam,
  2. Total number of vacancies for SBI Clerks,
  3. Difficulty level of the exam, etc.

As a result, the SBI Clerk cut off changes every year. We will update the cutoff once the exam is conducted and SBI releases the cutoff marks.

SBI Clerk 2019: SBI Clerk Admit Card

SBI Clerk admit card will be released separately for each stage of the exam. SBI Clerk Prelims admit card will be released for those who have successfully applied for the exam. For Mains, it will be issued only for those candidates who qualify in the Prelims exam. The admit card will be made available on the official website of SBI. candidates will have to login to their account using their Registration Number and Password / Date of Birth in order to download their admit card.
