The TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2021 Notification will be released soon for the posts of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner – Commercial Taxes, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Assistant Director of Rural Development and District Officer – Fire and Rescue Services. TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern For Prelims

The TNPSC Group 1 Preliminary exam is an objective type test and is conducted for three hours. The exam has 2 sections having a total of 200 questions with a maximum score of 300 marks. There is no negative marking in TNPSC Gr 1 Prelims. Candidates need to clear both sectional and overall cut off marks of the exam in order to be eligible to appear for the Main exam.

The Descriptive Test carries 750 marks and Interview & Records carries 100 marks. The Main exam is a pen and paper-based exam. The Descriptive Test has 3 papers each of 3 hours duration.
