UPSC One Time Registration 2022

A number of hopefuls apply for multiple UPSC examinations held throughout the year to choose officers for various central government departments/organizations.

  • This feature allows aspiring UPSC applicants to save their personal and other essential information on the websites, which are then saved by the portal for future reference and usage.
  • Earlier, students taking several tests had to apply online through the official websites, and each time, they had to enter their personal information.
  • This feature allows candidates to keep their personal details and retrieve them when applying for multiple tests.
  • This facility will now auto-populate around 70% of the information.
  • This saves time and decreases the possibility of errors while applying online.

What is the need of OTR?

Previously, candidates had to fill in this information each time they applied for a test. According to the OTR service, they do not have to fill out their basic information every time they want to apply for different government recruitment examinations; instead, they can register themselves on the OTR platform by providing the details only once.

When they want to apply for another exam, they can just log in, and their information will be there. This information will be utilised the next time they apply for an exam.
