WBPSC Revised Exam Dates Announced: WBPSC New Exam Dates 2021

BENGALURU, JUNE 29: The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released the WBPSC revised exam dates 2021 for West Bengal Civil Services Prelims, West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service prelims and WBCS Mains 2019. As per the WBPSC revised schedule, the West Bengal Civil Services prelims exam 2020 will be conducted on August 22, 2021, and the Mains exam 2019 will be conducted on August 27, 28, 29 and 31, 2021. Candidates can check/ download the WBPSC revised exam dates 2021 notice from the WBPSC official website @ wbpsc.gov.in. 

The West Bengal Civil Services (WBCS) exam is conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission to recruit officials in different administrative departments of West Bengal. The WBCS Prelims exam 2021 and WBCS Main exam 2020 were scheduled to be conducted on May 30 and May 17 to 21, respectively. However, the exams got postponed due to the Bengal assembly elections and the surge in Covid -19 cases in India.

WBCS Selection Process & Exam Pattern 2021

As per the West Bengal Civil Services selection process, candidates need to appear in three stages of the recruitment process i.e., Prelims, Mains & Personnel Interview. 

  1. In the preliminary stage, there will be 200 multiple-choice questions. Students will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. 
  2. Candidates shortlisted in the WBCS Prelims exam need to appear for the Mains examination. There will be eight papers in the WBCS Mains exam carrying 1,600 marks. 
  3. Those who clear the Mains Examination will be eligible to appear for the Interview Round.
