XAT Registration 2022-23: The XAT 2023 registration has been extended till December 11, 2022. Earlier the registration was supposed to end on November 30, 2022, but as per the latest news, it has been extended. Aspirants seeking admissions in 40+ B-schools including XIMB, IMT, IMI, TAPMI, MICA, Great Lakes, GIM among others, can apply for the examination. The XLRI Jamshedpur is conducting the application process. Candidates interested in appearing for XAT 2022-23 have to fill the application form online at xatonline.in.

XAT Eligibility Criteria

The candidates planning to fill the XAT 2023 application form must check the eligibility criteria provided here. Without fulfilling the XAT eligibility criteria, the candidates will not be considered eligible. So read the eligibility conditions carefully and if you are fulfilling only then fill the application form:

General XAT Eligibility Criteria

More than 150 institutes accept XAT scores. Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria for admission:

  1. Aspirants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent degree of a minimum of three years duration from a recognized University in any discipline.
  2. Candidates who are appearing for their graduation final year exam in 2022 can also appear for XAT 2023 provided they complete the course by June, 2023.
  3. Candidates of foreign nationality, as well as NRI candidates except the ones belonging to Dubai and Nepal, need to apply through GMAT scores.

XAT Eligibility Criteria For Admission To XLRI Programs

There are 11 XLRI member institutes in India. Admission to management programs in these institutes needs candidates to meet the following XAT eligibility criteria:

  1. Human Resource Management (HRM) and Business Management (BM): Admission to these programs in XLRI needs the candidates to hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) of three years duration in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates appearing for their final exams in 2023 and will be done with the course by June 2023 can also apply.
  2. General Management: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) and a minimum of 5-years of experience as a manager/supervisor (by March 31, 2023) can apply for this program.

Steps To Fill XAT Application Form

The candidates can either fill the application form from the official website or refer to the following steps. Before filling up the XAT application form 2023, the candidates need to make registration first. The first stage is to make registration and create the login credentials. Check the below mentioned easy steps to fill the XAT 2023 application form:

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website of XAT.
  • 2nd Step: Click on “Register”.
  • 3rd Step: Enter your Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Country, and Mobile Number in the respective fields.
  • 4th Step: Read the declaration. Enter the captcha and check the declaration box.
  • 5th Step: Click on “Submit”.
  • 6th Step: You will receive your XAT ID and Password in your Registered Email ID and Mobile Number. Note them down. Use your XAT ID and Password to log in or click the link received via email to directly visit the “Apply Now” page.

  • 11th Step: Enter Work Experience and Educational Details such as Bachelors Degree, University, Organization Name, Years of Professional Experience, any additional degree/certificate.
  • 12th Step: Program Details – In this section, you must select whether you wish to apply for XLRI or not and your choice of Exam City.
  • 13th Step: Upload Documents Section – Here upload scanned images of your Passport Size Photo, Signature, Class 10 Certificate, 12th Certificate, and Graduation Certificate in the specified format.
  • 14th Step: Declaration – Check the declaration box and then the box against “I Agree” (Review the entered details) and click on “Save & Continue” to proceed for payment of the application fee.
  • 15th Step: Go to the “Payment” tab and make payment of XAT application fees.
  • 16th Step: Click on “Preview” to check the entered details. If everything is correct, click on “Submit” to submit the application.
  • 17th Step: Take a printout of your XAT application form for future reference.

Keep the following points in mind regarding XAT registration:

  1. XAT Registration is possible only in the online mode.
  2. Keep the necessary documents and the details needed for registration handy.
  3. You can pay the XAT application form fee only in the online mode.
  4. Once you submit the application form, you cannot make any changes to it. So, fill up the XAT form 2022 carefully.

XAT Exam Pattern 2023

The following XAT exam pattern is as per last year information. As soon as the official information will be released by the officials, we update that here –

  1. Online Mode – XAT was conducted as a CBT (Computer Based Test)
  2. Number of Questions – There will be 100 questions
  3. Timings – Have been changed to 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM
  4. Essay Writing Test – Removed
  5. Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions – There will be no negative marking for NAT questions
  6. GK Section – This section will not be considered for percentile calculation and there will be no negative marking
  7. Negative Marking – Only part 1 will have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
  8. Unattempted Questions – Only 8 unattempted questions are allowed. Beyond that, 0.10 marks will be deducted for every unattempted question
  9. Marking Scheme – Each question carries 1 mark
  10. MCQ Options – Each question will have 5 options
  11. Sectional Time Limit – No, however, you can move to part 2 only after finishing part 1

About XAT Exam

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes.
