    • Properties of Indefinite Integral:
      (i) ∫[f(x) + g(x)] dx = ∫f(x) dx + ∫g(x) dx

    • The opposite of differentiation is the process of integration. The differential or derivative of a given function must be found in differential calculus, but in integral calculus, the function’s differential must be found.
    • Integrating is therefore a procedure that is the opposite of differentiating.
    • Then, these integrals are known as indefinite integrals or general integrals since f(x) dx = F(x) + C. C is aly chosen constant that can be changed to produce various anti-derivatives of the given function.
    • A function can have an infinite number of anti-derivatives or integrals, but its derivative is always unique.
