BSF Recruitment 2019: The Border Security Force released the BSF Constable (GD) notification for the latest police recruitment of Constables GD. With 1356 vacancies for Constable GD Post a large number of BSF applications are expected. BSF online form 2019 will be released tomorrow, 7th November 2019. The last date to apply for BSF Constable GD is 14th November 2019.
BSF recruitment is a golden opportunity for all those 10th class pass candidates. The age limit of the candidates has to be between 18 to 23 years (as on 1st August 2019). The pay scale for the post can go upto Rs 69100/-. The Border Security Force has three stages of selection. BSF Exam Date has not yet been announced.

BSF Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants applying for the head constable post shall be aware of the eligibility criteria. If the candidates do not match the eligibility criteria laid down by the authorities, then their BSF application will not be accepted. Head Constable (Radio Operator)
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the above post should have done Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. He/she should also hold two years of Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or Computer Operator & Programming Assistant or Electronics or Data Preparation & Computer Software or Data Entry Operator or General Electronics from a recognized university.
applicants should hold a pass certificate in intermediate or class 12 standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with aggregate 60% marks in PCM subject from a recognized board or university.
2. Age Limit
Applicants belonging to general category applying for this post should not be below 18 years of age and they should not be more than 25 years old. OBC category candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 28 years. SC/ST aspirants should not be less than 18 years and more than 30 years.

4. Medical Standards
Candidates applying for this position should have a minimum distant vision 6/6 and 6/9 of both the eyes without wearing glasses. They should pass high grade colour vision test. Applicants should not have knock-knees, flat feet or varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess CP- III by ISHIHARA.
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic)
1. Educational Qualification
Applicants applying to this post should have done Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board with two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant or, General Electronics or, Data Preparation & Computer Software or, Electrician or, Fitter or, Info Technology & Electronics System maintenance or, Communication Equipment Maintenance or, Computer Hardware or, Network Technician or, Mechatronics or, Data Entry Operator.
2. Age Limit
Aspirants belonging to general category should not be less than 18 years and more than 25 years. The minimum age for OBC candidates should be 18 years and maximum age should be 28 years. SC/ST candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 30 years.

4. Medical Standards for BSF Constable GD
The candidates will be medically examined in terms of guidelines for recruitment medical examinations in CAPFs and AR issues vide MHA UO No. A-VI-1/2014/Rectt(SBB) dated 20/05/2015 and subsequently amended from time to time. The minimum distant vision of the candidates should be 6/6 and 6/9 both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
BSF Recruitment: Application Fee
Applicants can pay the BSF application form fee through SBI online payment gateway using Internet Banking, Debit card, Credit card or BHIM pay. Applicants belonging to General and OBC categories are required to pay Rs 100 for the application form. SC/ST, BSF serving personnel, and Female applicants of all categories are exempted from paying the application fees.
BSF Recruitment: Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The BSF recruitment drive for both the post of HC (RO) and HC (RM) comprises four stages of selection as follows:
- Written Examination (OMR Based Screening Test)
- PST/PET & Documentation
- Descriptive Test
- Medical Examination
The written examination consists of objective questions (MCQs). The question paper will be OMR based comprising four sections. The paper will be both in English as well as Hindi. There will be 100 questions, each carrying 2 marks. For every wrong answer, there is a negative marking of 0.50. The qualifying marks of written test for both the posts are- 38% for General/OBC and 33% for SC/ST candidates.

As per the BSF Recruitment 2019, applicants who qualify the OMR based test will be brought forward for the second stage i.e PST/PET & Documentation.

For HC/RO candidates
Applicants who qualify the second stage will be called for the descriptive test. The descriptive test consists of 2 phases- Written test and Dictation test. The written test will be descriptive in nature and will comprise four sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning & English (12th standard). The total marks for written test is 150. The time duration for this paper will be 2 hours 30 minutes. 2.5 marks will be deducted for each every incorrect letter.
For HC/RM candidates
The descriptive test for Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) will consist of four sections- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning & Electronic subjects (12th standard). The time duration for this paper is 3 hours. For every incorrect letter, 2.5 marks will be deducted.
The dictation test is conducted to test the writing and speaking skill of the candidates. For general/OBC applicants the qualifying marks is 38% and for SC/ST it is 33%. For every incorrect word, 5 marks will be deducted.

According to BSF Recruitment notification, applicants qualifying all the above stages will have to go through the final medical examination. Candidates who will be declared un-fit in the medical examination can apply for re-medical exam to the IG, HQ DG BSF, New Delhi within 15 days from the date of issue of the memo. They need to pay the fee of Rs 50 in DD prepared in favour of DDO, FHQ BSF NEW DELHI payable at New Delhi. Proof of fitness should be enclosed with the application. The decision of the re-medical board of BSF will be final and no 2nd appeal will be entertained.
BSF Recruitment: Exam Centers

BSF Recruitment: General Points
- Original and Self-attested photocopies of educational qualifications and date of birth are to be produced during the PST/PET & Documentation process.
- Candidates should have a sound mental and bodily health and free from any defect or deformity.
- The minimum standards related to chest measurement in terms of male candidates can be relaxed from 80 cms unexpanded and 85 cms expanded to 76 cms unexpanded and 81 cms expanded respectively for Adivasis or Tribals.
- Candidates can apply for both the HC/RO as well as HC/RM posts depending on their eligibility for the respective posts.
