May 13, 2024CBSE Board Exam Fees Hike 2022-23: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has increased the exam fees, along with the registration fee for the year 2022-23. Also, the CBSE Board was petitioned by the All India Parents Association (AIPA) to waive the board exam registration and exam fees for kids due to the financial hardships faced by the parents as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.
The examination fee would rise from Rs. 365 to Rs. 1200 for SC/ST students and from Rs. 600 to Rs. 1500 for students in the general category. Following this significant increase, the government declared that it would not be covering the exam fee because the whole cost would be in the range of Rs 100 crore, which the pandemic-damaged economy could not support.
