DU Cutoff 2019: Delhi University (DU) will release the DU Admission cutoff for Science, Arts and Commerce streams through online mode on the official website. DU cutoff will be released for each college, stream, course, category and rounds. Delhi University will be releasing the DU Cutoff for the merit-based admission from June 28, 2019, for Round 1 followed by other rounds. DU UG Admission is either Merit Based or Entrance Based and separate cutoff will be released in both the cases.
As per the official announcement, the university will release 5 DU cutoff lists for DU rounds of merit-based admission. Candidates will be shortlisted mainly based on their qualifying exam (Class 12) score considering the “Best Four” criteria. The DU Cutoff will be prepared based on several factors such as the number of applicants, availability of seats, previous year cutoff trends, etc. In this article, we will provide you with the college wise and round wise DU cutoff.
Delhi University rescheduled the DU Cutoff release dates from 20th June 2019 to 28th June 2019 (only for merit-based DU Admissions). The dates were rescheduled due to the extension in the registration dates till June 22, 2019.

There are around 90 colleges affiliated to DU offering nearly 56000 seats across various streams. Delhi University Cutoff will vary from college to college and from course to course in various rounds. After each round of DU Cutoff 2019, candidates will be given time to complete the DU admission process and report to the college. The DU Cutoff released will be for the merit-based DU admission which will be followed by the Entrance Based DU cutoff and admission.

Factors Affecting DU Cutoff 2019
The officials will be preparing the DU Cutoff for different rounds which include the course wise and category wise cutoff for each college. The different parameters affecting the DU Cutoff are as follows:
- Qualifying Exam Score and Best Four Combination – The candidates will be selected considering their performance in the Class 12 exam on the basis of “Best of Four” criteria. Here the average of the four highest marks scored by the candidates will be considered depending on the applied course.
- Number of Seats Available – The total seats available in the particular college and course will be considered.
- Number of Applicants – The total number of applications received by the applicants received for a particular college and course will be considered.
- Previous Year Cutoff Trend – The DU previous year Cutoff trend across different colleges, courses and categories are considered.
DU Cutoff 2019 – Round Wise Cutoff
After the conclusion of the DU registration process, the university will be releasing the cutoff scores as per the admission rounds. Presently, under the merit-based admission, there will be 5 round of cutoff scores. The DU admission will be conducted in parts consisting of different rounds and a cutoff list will be released in each round of admission.

DU Admission Process After Release of DU Cutoff 2019
Delhi University will be conducting the DU admission process in several rounds and round wise DU cutoff will be released for each round. The candidate will then have to follow the DU admission process once the DU round wise cutoff is released. Check the steps below:
1st Step: Once the DU Cutoff is released, candidates will have to choose the college and course from the list of colleges and courses they are eligible for.
2nd Step: Candidates will now have to report to the respective college with valid documents such as:
- Class 10 and class 12 Mark Sheet
- Class 10 provisional or original Mark Sheet
- Three passport size photograph
- Character Certificate
- Transfer Certificate
- Migration Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- OBC Non – Creamy Layer certificate (if applicable)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
Note: Candidates will also have to carry photocopies of their original documents
3rd Step: The candidates will then have to get their documents verified against the original documents and a seat will be approved by the principal as per the candidate’s eligibility and choice.
4th Step: After the approval, the Fee Payment link will be activated on the online DU admission portal. Candidates will have to log in to their account and pay the prescribed fee through online mode.
Change Of College And Course For DU Admission
If the candidate wants to change his college and courses, candidates will have to cancel his previously approved admission and repeat the above 4 steps for the admission in a new college.
- Candidates will first have to check his/ her eligibility and should be sure about it.
- Candidates will then have to visit the official portal and cancel the present allotted course and college. The fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to the candidate with a deduction of Rs. 1000/-
- Now visit the new college and follow the same admission procedure as mentioned above. If the fee in the present allocated college is more than the refunded fee then the candidate will have to pay the rest fee and if the fee is less than the refunded fee then candidates will not have to pay any extra fee and the remaining will be refunded to the candidate.
