Study Plan to Maximise Score
Preparation Tips
- Maintain current understanding of exam patterns and syllabuses: Create a study plan based on the ESIC Recruitment 2022 exam pattern and syllabus. Include a schedule for each topic for which you intend to prepare each day. Follow the study plan and timetable to stay on track with your daily preparation.
- Make short, good notes for last-minute revision: It is a good idea to take short, high-quality notes for a last-minute revision. You can do this in any language you want. You can also take notes on your mobile device electronically. These notes will assist you in remembering important points prior to the test.
- Examine and practice previous year exam papers: One of the most effective ways to learn how to prepare for exams is to review and practise old exam papers. It allows you to become acquainted with the format and structure of the question paper.
- Revise each topic: Success is determined by revision. Revision greatly helps in the retention of prior knowledge. Schedule revisions once a week or once a month. Consult the NCERT books to learn the fundamental concepts of a subject. Investigate all relevant topics.
- Take a mock exam to practise: Mock tests and model papers can help you improve your skills. Taking mock tests is the best way to improve your speed and accuracy in a short amount of time.
- Believe in oneself: If you maintain your confidence, your exam will go well. Remove any doubts and negativity from your short-term and long-term study plans. If you have a positive attitude, you will succeed.
Exam Taking Strategy
Exam time can be very stressful because pupils are under a lot of pressure to perform well. However, there are several things you can do to better prepare for your exams.
- Attempt your strongest topic first: This will help you gain confidence for the rest of the test. Try the most difficult topic in the middle, when concentration levels are at their peak.
- No guesswork: The number of questions you must attempt cannot be predetermined because it is determined by the level of difficulty. Just maintain a delicate balance of accuracy and speed. Remember that each incorrect answer is worth a quarter of a point. Therefore, as much as possible, avoid guesswork. In this exam, accuracy is just as important as speed. Before making calculated guesses, use the elimination method to eliminate 2-3 options, and avoid any blind guesswork.
- Read the question properly: Understand what is written in the question. Do not dismiss the question simply by looking at it. If you read it carefully, you might be able to do it. So, before you skip it, read it carefully because some questions that appear difficult are actually simple to solve, especially puzzles.
- Do not waste time on a single question: Don’t get stuck by a single question and waste your time. You can always return to it later if you have time.
Detailed Study plan
ESIC UDC preliminary exam section wise detailed study plan is given below:
- Quantitative Aptitude
Spend at least 30 minutes per day practising square and cube questions. Examine the tables and concepts. Pay close attention to your areas of weakness.
- Reasoning Ability
It is necessary to practise and concentrate in order to answer Reasoning Ability questions. As a result, you should try to solve as many puzzles as possible every day. When solving the puzzle, evaluate your speed and accuracy.
- General Knowledge
Read newspapers and magazines to improve your score in this section. The questions in this section cover events from the past, present, and future. Make every effort to cover all of the relevant topics from the ESIC UDC syllabus.
- The English Language
The English section is both the most difficult and the trickiest. To pass this section, you must develop a habit of reading, master the fundamentals of grammar, expand your vocabulary, and practise various sentence structures. We anticipate that this year’s paper will be on par with last year’s. To do well, you must be prepared to face difficult questions and put in a lot of practise time.
