Selection Process
IB ACIO Exam selection process consists of Tier I, II, and Interview.
Stages of Exam
IB ACIO Exam Pattern 2025 consists of three stages: Tier I, II, and Interview. Tier I is an objective-type exam that contains questions from five sections. Tier-II is a descriptive model exam that is out of a total of 50 marks. The Interview round is out of 100 marks in total. IB ACIO exam pattern gives an idea about the overall structure and model of the exam. By looking at the exam pattern, candidates can get details such as total marks, marking scheme, duration of the test, and weightage of each section. IB ACIO exam pattern is set by the Intelligence Bureau which is under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Applicants who clear Tier 1 exam, will be eligible to appear for the Tier 2 exam. IB ACIO Tier 2 exam is a descriptive test and to qualify in the Tier 2 exam, candidates must score at least 33% marks). IB ACIO Interview
From the candidates who qualify in Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams, those who clear the cut off set by MHA will be invited to attend the interview round. The interview is out of a maximum of 100 marks. There is no fixed time duration for the interview. However, generally, it ranges from 20 minutes to 1 hour in length per candidate.

3rd Step: Aspirants must first fill in the basic details such as name, email ID, mobile number, etc. to get their registration number and password for further login.
4th Step: Log in using the obtained registration number and password and fill up the application form with personal details, educational details, choice of exam city, etc.
5th Step: Upload the photograph and signature in a single file as per the formatting and size prescriptions. Note: The scanned copy of the passport size colour photograph and signature must be in the same jpg/jpeg file of size not exceeding 50kb.
6th Step: Preview the filled application form and verify all the details once again. Moreover, check if the uploaded documents are correct and legible.
7th Step: Save all the details that you entered and click on the option for fee payment. Candidates can choose between either online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking) or Offline (Bank Challan) modes to pay their application fee.

Age Criteria
The candidate applying for IB ACIO Grade 2 should be at least 18 years old. The maximum age limit of applicants is 27 years. Age relaxation is available for the reserved category candidates.

Education Qualification
The candidates must have completed their graduation or equivalent from a recognized university. The candidates with basic computer knowledge will be given preference. They must have proper knowledge of Computers.
Nationality– Only citizens of India are eligible to apply for the IB ACIO Grade 2 recruitment. They must present relevant documents as proof to prove their citizenship in India.
Admit Card Release Date
The Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of Home Affairs will release the IB ACIO Admit Card and City Intimation details for the Tier 1 exam on the official website-mha.gov.in two-three weeks before the exam date. Candidates will have to use their login credentials, namely their User ID and Password to download IB ACIO admit card 2025. Candidates are requested to submit objections to the answer keys through the link given on this page. Objections raised through any other mode/means/channel will not be entertained by IB. Candidates can submit Objections for a total of four days from the publishing of this Link. The link for submitting Objections shall not be available after that. Candidates have to click on the + button in the tab “Objections” to raise their objections.

Salary Structure
The IB ACIO In Hand Salary to a newly appointed candidate depends on the post and city where the candidate is posted. After the 7th Pay Commission, the salary has been revised and increased significantly. ACIO II is placed at Level 7 of the new pay matrix. The basic components of the salary are as described below:
- IB ACIO officers receive salaries in the range of Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1, 42, 000 along with the applicable allowances.
