PUCET Cutoff 2019: Punjab University will release the PUCET cutoff for both undergraduate and postgraduate course after the announcement of the PUCET 2019 results. Punjab University is likely to release the PUCET Cutoff scores by last week of May for the undergraduate courses. Whereas, for the postgraduate courses the PUCET Cutoff is expected by last week of June 2019.
The Punjab University Cutoff is the minimum score which candidates will have to score in order to qualify for the further admission process. As per the PUCET cutoff, the university will publish the Punjab University merit list for Punjab University Admissions.

PUCET merit list will be released by the officials after the PUCET Result according to which further PUCET counselling process will undertake. The PUCET Merit List will be prepared by the officials based on the following factors.
- 75% of Marks from the PU CET 2019 (In Percentile)
- 25% marks from the 10+2 exam or Qualifying exam (In percentage)
- Over and above weightage of NCC, NSS, etc.
The merit list for PCM and PCB streams will be evaluated independently based on the formula mentioned below:
P = [ (N-R) / N] * 100
P- Percentile Score
N- Number of students appeared in that stream
R- Rank of the Candidate in the merit list of that stream
Finally, the final merit list will be given as follows:
The Final Merit List = 0.75*P + 0.25*Q + weightages for other activities (NCC,NSS, etc.)
P – PU CET 2019 Percentile Score
Q – Percentage Score in 10+2 or qualifying exam
PUCET 2019 Counselling will be conducted as per the PUCET Merit List. The Provisional PUCET Merit List and commencement of ist round of PUCET counselling are expected to start on 5th July 2019.
All the candidates shortlisted in the merit list will have to physically attend the PUCET Counselling. Candidates will have to report to the PUCET counselling venue as per the specified date and time with all the necessary documents.
The final list of the selected candidates will be released. Candidates can also participate in the 2nd round of counselling based on the seat availability and merit of the candidates.
