CUET Exam Pattern 2022: Know The List of New Exam Centres


CUET Exam Pattern 2022: NTA authorities issued the CUET (UG) Phase 6 exam admit cards on their official website on August 22, 2022. The exam authorities have revised the exam dates, and the phase 6 exam will be conducted on August 24, 25, 26, and 30, 2022. Knowing the CUET exam syllabus and the exam pattern is a must for every candidate before they appear for the exam.

The CUET (previously named CUCET) exam has three Sections (Language, Domain-Specific, and General Test). To clear the exam with a good score, candidates must have good knowledge of the CUET exam pattern and CUET exam syllabus. All the candidates who seek admission in the UG and PG courses in any one of the UGC-funded Central Universities must appear for the exam. CUCET Exam Pattern 2022

The CUCET 2022 exam pattern differs for both UG and PG entrance exams. The different pattern means that the candidates will have to follow different strategies to crack the exams. For a clear understanding of the two, the different exam patterns have been described below:

  • Section 1A: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu.
  • Section 1B: French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Kashmiri,
    Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
  • Any of the Languages from Section 1A and Section 1B are to be chosen. The language test will be based on Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.
  • Section 2: There are 27 domain-specific subjects, the candidates can choose any 6 based on their stream and college/university of choice. The questions will be Multiple Choice Types.
  • Section 3: The General Test is based on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and Logical and Analytical Reasoning. The questions will be Multiple Choice Types.

CUCET Exam Pattern 2022: Marking Scheme

The officials have prescribed the marking scheme to the candidates to help them estimate the score after the entrance test and understand the question pattern. Find below the CUCET marking scheme-

  1. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  2. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 will be deducted from the total score.
  3. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Ans: Candidates cannot apply for more than three courses in CUCET.
