RBI Grade B Salary After 5 Years

After 5 years of service, RBI Grade B Officers receive their first increment. Check the details of the salary that the selected candidates will receive after the increment:

  • Obtain a raise of Rs 1750 (up to 9 years).
  • After 9 years, the basic pay will be Rs. 50,900, and an increment will be Rs 1750 (for the next 2 years).
  • Further increment of Rs 2000 (for the next 4 years), then basic pay will be Rs 54,400.
  • The maximum basic pay after 16 years will be Rs 62,400.

Note- This amount will be received even if there is no promotion after that period.

  • Dearness Allowance: The RBI Grade B officers will receive a DA of 31% of the basic salary.
  • HRA Allowance: The Reserve Bank of India will offer 2-BHK/3-BHK flats to the RBI Grade B employees. If the employees are not allocated flats, then they can claim up to INR 70,000 as rent allowance.
  • Medical Allowance: Employees can claim medical allowances up to INR 4500. These medical allowances are also valid for the dependents of the employees.
  • Education Allowances: Based on various parameters, the officials will offer education allowances to their employees. Those selected as RBI Grade B officers can avail of INR 4000 under education allowance every month.
  • Fuel Allowance: If the RBI Grade B employee owns a vehicle in his/her name, then they can claim up to 150 litres of fuel per month.
  • Maid Allowance: INR 3000 will be offered under the maid allowance for RBI Grade B employees.
  • Mobile Allowance: RBI Grade B employees can get up to INR 1500 as mobile allowance.
  • Sodexo Coupons: Employees are given Sodexo coupons worth INR 2000, which can be used for food/groceries.
  • Leave Fare Concession Travel (LFC): Once in two years, the employees can avail of LFC for themselves, their spouses & dependents under the LFC Travel allowance. The RBI will offer around INR 1,00,000 for the employees under the LFC allowance.
  • Briefcase allowance: Officers are eligible for a briefcase allowance of INR 7000. Employees can be reimbursed for the cost of the briefcase once every three years.
  • Spectacles allowances: The RBI Grade B officer or his/her spouse can claim a spectacles allowance of INR 7000.
