RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2019: RBI Grade B Paper Pattern needs to be understood by aspirants before beginning preparation. RBI conducts a 3-Phase recruitment process before appointing you as a Grade B Officer which include 2 staged online examinations and an interview i.e Prelims, Mains and Interview. RBI Grade B Exam Pattern gives complete details about the number of papers, marking scheme, question distribution, and nature of the test papers.
Phase I – Objective Type Online Examination (General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning) with a duration of 120 minutes and this will be out of 200 marks. Phase I is considered just as a primary screening process and its score will not be counted for the final after the interview. Phase II – Objective & Descriptive Type Online Examination. Phase II examination score will be counted for the final. Final merit list will be published after the interview by adding your Phase II and interview marks. The RBI Grade B Phase I examination consist of total 200 marks in time duration of 120 minutes.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on the aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-1 + Paper-II +Paper-III). The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for the interview will be published on RBI website at an appropriate time and interview call letters will be sent on registered email ID. Interview will be of 50 marks. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-11 examination and interview.
RBI Grade B Exam Pattern | Important points
1. Phase 1 RBI Officer Grade B Exam will be held online for 200 marks.
2. The question paper in Phase 1 will be divided in 4 sections.
3. Candidates will be given 120 minutes or 2 hours to complete the Phase 1 exam.
4. Candidates who qualify the phase 1 online exam will be eligible to sit for the phase 2 exam.
5. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on the aggregate marks secured in Phase -II.
6. The details regarding your Interview, i.e. Date, Time & Location will be provided to you in your Call-letter.
7. The total marks for the interview round of RBI Grade B is 50.
8. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English.
RBI Grade B Exam Pattern | Negative Marking
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests (Preliminary and Main examination). 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted if the question is left unanswered or blank. Never ever give the blind guesses in the examination. Just keep in mind about the negative marking. Solve the questions confidently and then just make sure that the answer is correct or not.
Total score =200 – (1*Number of correct answers)-(1/4 * number of incorrect responses).
