RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2022: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the recruitment and selection for multiple posts such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains, Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, etc. within Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). However, candidates interested in applying for the exam should first check the RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria.
Currently, due to Covid-related delays, RRB has opened a grievance submission window regarding the RRB NTPC CBT-1 result which will be open till February 16, 2022. For 7th CPC Level 4, 5 and 6 (Graduate level Posts), the Date of Birth of candidates should be between the dates given below (both dates inclusive):

Over and above the requirement for medical standards, there is also an additional set of requirements specified that include a multitude of vision standards that are included within the medical standards. Q1: I have passed my 12th standard exam. Can I take the RRB NTPC exam?
A1: Yes, but you will only be eligible for a limited number of posts under RRB NTPC such as Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Accounts Clerk Cum Typist, Junior Clerk Cum Typist, and Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk.
Q2: What is the qualification needed for the RRB NTPC exam?
A: While some posts require 12th pass candidates, other posts of a higher calibre require a degree from a recognized university in terms of educational qualification for RRB NTPC.
Q3: How many exams are there in the RRB NTPC Exam?
A3: There are 3 stages in the selection process of the RRB NTPC exam – First stage CBT (Prelims), Second stage CBT (Mains), and a typing test that is optional for a limited number of posts. However, the first two stages are mandatory to be cleared for the RRB NTPC exam.
Q4: What is the salary for RRB NTPC?
A4: The monthly salary for RRB NTPC starts from INR 28,696 (for graduate posts) and goes up to INR 48,696. The difference relies on the type of post, on which different pay bands are applied as per the 7th Pay Commission.
Q5: Is the typing test compulsory for the RRB NTPC exam?
A5: No. However, there are some posts on the RRB NTPC that require candidates to clear the typing test to qualify for the respective posts.
