RRB NTPC Selection Process 2022: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts its Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam annually. The exam is held in order to recruit personnel for various posts in the RRB such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and various others as well.

CBT-1 CBT-2 Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) Document Verification/Medical Examination
The RRB NTPC selection process consists of 4 different stages. Candidates have to clear the previous stage in order to be eligible for the next one. The various stages for selection are as follows:

RRB NTPC CBT-1 Exam Pattern
This exam will consist of 100 marks for 100 questions (1 mark per question).
The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes (1.5 hours). For PwD candidates, the duration will be 2 hours.
There will be a total of 3 sections that have to be answered.
Negative marking of -0.25 marks will be applicable for every wrong answer.
No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.

RRB NTPC CBT-2 Exam Pattern
This exam will consist of 120 marks for 120 questions (1 mark per question).
The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes (1.5 hours).
The sections will be the same as CBT-1, but the difficulty level will be a little higher, and the number of questions will be more in CBT-2.
The difficulty level also depends on the nature of the post applied for.
Negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each question will be applicable for every wrong answer.
No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.

Typing Skill Test / Computer Based Aptitude Test
On successfully clearing the CBT-1 and CBT-2 tests, candidates will have to undergo a Typing Skill Test or Computer Based Aptitude Test based on the posts they have opted for. Details are given below.
Computer Based Aptitude Test
Candidates who have applied for the positions of Traffic Assistant and Station Master will have to appear for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).
The CBAT will be qualifying in nature, and candidates have to secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks to qualify in this test.
Typing Skill Test
Candidates who have opted for the positions of Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper will have to appear for the Typing Skill Test.
The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on a Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.
Document Verification
Candidates successfully clearing CBT-1, CBT-2 and the Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test will be called for document verification.
A specific reporting date, time and venue will be communicated to the candidates, and they will have to be physically present at the venue.
Medical Examination
Different medical standards have been set for various posts, and candidates applying for these posts must ensure that they meet the specified medical requirements.
Candidates not meeting the set medical standards will be deemed as ineligible and will not be considered for selection.
