The Lower Division Clerk post is considered as one of the lowest levels of administrative posts in the Government of India for SSC CHSL Jobs.
However, the responsibilities and tasks will also vary depending on the department and ministries that they are appointed by.
The LDCs work under the Central Government in various sections of the administrative department.
Since the majority of work of LDCs will be related to Office work, the standard SSC CHSL working hours of 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M will apply for them.

Since this job requires extraordinary typing skills, candidates who clear the Typing test during the SSC CHSL Selection Process will only be recruited.

The Postal Assistants work for the postal services across various departments.
This kind of job, more often than not, involves a lot of field work.

Responsibilities of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant
Responsible for the smooth functioning of the postal services.
The PAs cater to various departments such as Army Postal Service, Regional Post Office, Foreign Postal Service, Mail Motor Services, and so on.
Monitoring the data of the office and disposing of unnecessary ones.
Handling customer queries and providing them with a solution.
Locating the address of the addressee. If not found, locating the sender’s address and returning the post to them.
