SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the SSC GD Exam Pattern for the post of Constables. As per the revised pattern, there will be 80 questions for 160 marks to be solved in 60 minutes and there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks. Candidates planning to attempt the upcoming exam must be thoroughly familiar with the SSC GD paper pattern.

Knowing the exam pattern is essential for creating an effective study plan and achieving a high score. It provides applicants with important exam information such as different sections, negative markings, total marks, and so on. Read on to find out more.
As per the revised SSC GD Exam Pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, Computer Based Examination (CBE). The Commission reduced the number of questions, the time allotted for the exam, and the weightage of each question. Now, the total duration for the Tier 1 exam is 60 minutes. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) follows a marking scheme for the General Duty (GD) Constable exam. Understanding the marking scheme is crucial for candidates as it can help them strategise their approach to the exam.
In the GD Constable exam, each correct answer from the candidates is awarded 2 marks. However, there is a negative marking, which means 0.50 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. If candidates leave a question unanswered, i.e., no answer is marked, then no marks are awarded or deducted for that question.

SSC GD PST/PET is an essential stage in the selection process of SSC GD Constables. This stage is qualifying in nature and candidates who will clear SSC GD PST/PET will get the opportunity to appear in the medical test.
The physical standards of SSC GD Constables are as follows:
