SSC MTS Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria: The Staff Selection Committee (SSC) is conducting the annual SSC MTS Examination to fill in the post of Multi-Tasking Staff to fill vacancies in the Central Government Departments/ Ministries/ Offices. The SSC MTS Tier-I exam will be conducted in the month of April 2023.

Candidates are required to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for this written examination, for which they need to fill out the application form on the official website. The applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected, and the admit card will not be released for such applications. SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2023

The SSC has set certain criteria for aspirants willing to take up the SSC MTS 2023 examination. The eligibility is based on various criteria like age, nationality, education etc. Candidates are required to go through the below-mentioned criteria before applying for the exam. It should be noted that applications that do not meet the criteria will be rejected.

Nationality Criteria

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India or
  • A candidate must be subject to Nepal or
  • He or she must be a subject of Bhutan or
  • A candidate who is a Tibetan refugee and came to India with the intention of settling in India before January 1, 1962, is also eligible to appear for the SSC MTS examination or
  • Candidate of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Criteria

Candidates who are between the ages of 18 to 27 (as on August 1st, 2023)  are eligible to apply for the examination. However, there are certain category-based age relaxations mentioned by the SSC. Find the age relaxations for different categories in the table below:

Educational Qualification

Aspirants applying for the SSC MTS 2023 Examination must have passed their Matriculation Examination (10th Standard) or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
