The Vellore Institute of Technology holds the yearly entrance exam known as VITEEE 2023, commonly referred to as the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam, for admission to B. Tech programmes. Every year, almost 2 lakh students compete for the 5,000 available seats in VITs. The VITEEE entrance exam performance is the sole criterion for admission. This exam receives around 2 Lakh applications each year, making it challenging to choose the best candidates.
