CBSE Exam Pattern 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to release the exam pattern for Class 10 & 12 exams for the 2022-23 session. The circulars issued for 2021-22 specify that the system of conducting Term-I and Term-2 exams were a special assessment scheme for 2021-22. As per the latest updates, CBSE has decided to return to just one board exam from 2022-23. This article has provided all the details on the CBSE board exam pattern for Classes 10 & 12.

The CBSE Board announced that it intends to scrap the Two Term, Split Exam Policy for the 2022-23 session. As per the CBSE circular for 2022-2023, it is declared that only one board exam will be held for classes 10 and 12, at the end of the academic sessions. 

CBSE Exam Pattern 2022-23: Overview

Before getting into the details of the CBSE Class 10 exam pattern and CBSE Class 12 exam pattern, here is an overview of changes made in the CBSE exam Pattern and CBSE new pattern:

  • As per the new CBSE exam pattern, the Board will follow competency-based multiple-choice questions.
  • Internal Assessment for Class 10 and Class 12 will cover marks for unit tests, exploratory activities, practical exams and projects.
  • According to the revised pattern of the CBSE exam 2022-23, candidates will be evaluated throughout the year.

CBSE Exam Pattern for Class 12: Overview

The CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Pattern 2022 is explained below. For Class 12 subjects, the total marks are 100 for each subject. 

  • For AY 2022-23, CBSE 12th exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of March-April, 2023.
  • There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on assertion-reasoning and case-based MCQs.
  • This exam will be 3 hours long in total.
  • The CBSE 12th practice paper will also be rewritten according to the new exam pattern and is expected to be available by the last weak of September, 2022.
