DU Eligibility Criteria 2022: The University of Delhi will release the eligibility criteria for Delhi University admission 2022 along with the notification via online mode. Candidates must ensure they have fulfilled the prescribed eligibility criteria for DU admission 2022. DU Eligibility Criteria 2022

All interested candidates are required to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of DU 2022 in order to apply for admission to any one of the 90 DU colleges

Age Limit – The authorities have not set any age limit to apply for undergraduate programmes.

Nationality – Candidates should be of Indian citizenship.

DU Eligibility Criteria 2022 for B.A. (Hons)

  1. Candidates willing to apply for B.A. English must have English as a subject and a combination of the three subjects from the following: any language subjects (core/elective) from List A, Economics, Geography, History, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.
  2. Candidates appearing for examination this year are also eligible for DU 2022.
  3. Candidates must score a minimum 55% in English and also 55% in the other three subjects.

Minimum Marks for B.A. Arts (English) 

All the interested candidates are required to secure a minimum of 85% marks in English as well in aggregate in class 12th.

DU Eligibility Criteria 2022 for B.A. Hindi

  1. Candidates must have Hindi as a core/ elective subject in class 12th, and also, a combination of the best three other subjects from List A and List B will be eligible. 
  2. If any candidate includes any subject other than those in List A and List B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the best four.

Minimum Marks for B.A. Hindi

Those willing to apply for Hindi at DU University must have secured 55% marks in Hindi, whereas, in aggregate, they must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks.

DU Eligibility Criteria 2022 for B.A. Economics

  1. To apply for Economics, candidates must have passed in Mathematics in the qualifying examination that class 12th. 
  2. Also, they must have taken a combination of other best three elective subjects from Lists A and B.
  3. If any candidate includes any subject other than those in List A and List B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the best four.
  4. Out of the best two chosen above, if Economics will not be the subject, it will lead to a deduction of 1% marks on the aggregate of the best four. 

Minimum Marks for B.A. Economics

Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in class 12th to be eligible for DU admission

DU Eligibility Criteria 2022 for B.A. Applied Philosophy/ Psychology/ Political Science/ Geography/ Social Work/ History/ Sociology/ Psychology

  1. Candidates with English or any one of the scheduled languages from List A1, and a combination of best three other subjects from elective subjects of Lists A and B will be eligible. 
  2. Also, out of the best three, one must be the concerned subject in which admission has to be taken. In case of failing, a deduction of 1% will be imposed on the aggregate of the best four. However, this deduction will not be applicable for admission in Philosophy.
  3. If any candidate includes any subject other than those in List A and List B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the best four. 

Minimum Marks for B.A.Applied Philosophy/ Psychology/ Political Science/ Geography/ Social Work/ History/ Sociology/ Psychology

Candidates must have secured 55% marks in English, or any one of the concerned subjects will be eligible for admission to Delhi University. 

DU Eligibility Criteria 2022 for B.Com. 

  1. For B.Com., candidates must have English/Hindi and a combination of the best three subjects among these – Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies/ Commerce.
  2. In case of any subject other than mentioned above from List B in the combination of best three will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate, with a maximum net deduction of 2%. 
  3. If any candidate includes any subject other than those in List A and List B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the best four.

Minimum Marks for B.Com.

  1. To apply for B.Com., candidates must have secured 50% or more marks in Mathematics/Business Mathematics. 
  2. Apart from that, candidates must have obtained 60% or more marks in aggregate in class 12th. 

DU Eligibility Criteria for 2022 B.Sc.Mathematics/Statistics

Candidates must have one language from List A1, Mathematics and any two subjects from List B.

Minimum Marks for B.Sc.Mathematics/Statistics

Interested candidates must have secured 60% in Mathematics as well as in aggregate in order to apply for DU admission. 

DU Eligibility Criteria for 2022 B.Sc. Geology

Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and anyone among the following subjects – Mathematics, Geology, Biology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology, and Geography in class 12th. 

Minimum Marks for B.Sc. Geology

Candidates are required to secure at least 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in English in order to be eligible for DU admission.
