The chapters that have been retained in the board syllabus are similar to the syllabus of NTA (unchanged). The exam syllabus released for various entrance-level examinations has been kept unchanged, i.e. students will have to prepare less syllabus for board exams and will have to prepare for all the remaining parts to score good marks in the competitive exams.

Punjab Board Class 12 Study Plan to Maximize Score
Preparation for the PSEB Class 12 exam can be quite tricky. Students should have a diligent study routine that includes a proper schedule for learning and revision to ace the Class 12 board exam with good marks. Every student must set their own pace and avoid following other students. Below we have provided some preparation tips for students.
PSEB Class 12 Preparation Tips
Students appearing for Punjab Board Class 12 must have the preparation tips sorted. It will be of great help as they get to score good marks in the exam and also prepare for the competitive exam. Follow the tips mentioned below to prepare for PSEB Class 12 board exam in an easy manner:
Exam Pattern:Each year, the board makes certain changes to the examination pattern. Always remember to check the PSEB Class 12 examination pattern online. The exam pattern provides all the information about the structure of Class 12 question papers and, hence, can help a lot during preparation. Students must follow all the tips to succeed in PSEB Class 12.
Exam Syllabus: It is of utmost importance that students check all their subjects’ PSEB Class 12 syllabus. Keep a copy of it while preparing for the exams. The syllabus gives detailed information on the topics that a student must go through, and it can tell about what topics are essential for a student to get good marks.
Management of Time: Some students are better at Maths while some are better at Physics. To score good marks, it is essential to prioritise all subjects. But students can allot less time to a subject they have a good grasp of while giving more attention to learning the subject they find hard. Thus, one should have a good time management plan. Make a reasonable timetable that can be followed daily. Do not set unrealistic targets and give time to all Class 12 subjects.
Reading Textbooks: Students often spend too much time going through the reference books. These books contain material that is often not relevant for the exams. So it is always good to read textbooks prescribed by the board thoroughly as all the questions in the Class 12 board exam are based on the topics given in the textbook and use the reference books only to practise or to understand a concept in case it’s not clear in the textbooks.
Study Material: The quality, not the quantity of study material, can help students learn better. Too much material will waste a lot of students’ time and can lead to confusion too. It’s better that students go through all the necessary study material beforehand and during the final preparation day they should just read the quality study material. Good study material can clear their concepts and provide them with a good understanding of subjects.
Notes: Students must make notes while studying. It will save time during revision and will save a lot of time during the final days. Furthermore, one should always study difficult topics at the start so that during the final days, a student feels less burdened.
Solve Previous Years’ Question Papers: All candidates must practice at least two previous year question papers for all subjects of PSEB Class 12th. This will help them realise their weaknesses and also help them in dealing with different types of questions.
Attempt Mock Tests: It is quite important for students to take mock tests before exams. It will help ease out their anxiety and help them to be mentally prepared for tackling all types of problems. This gives a first-hand experience in managing time while attempting the PSEB Class 12 board exam.
