Punjab Board Class 12 Study Plan to Maximize Score

Topper List Success Stories

Preparation for the PSEB Class 12 exam can be quite tricky. Students should have a diligent study routine that includes a proper schedule for learning and revision to ace the Class 12 board exam with good marks. Every student must set their own pace and avoid following other students. Below we have provided some preparation tips for students.

PSEB Class 12 Preparation Tips

Follow the tips mentioned below to prepare for PSEB Class 12 board exam:

  • Exam Pattern:Each year, the board makes certain changes to the examination pattern. Always remember to check the PSEB Class 12 examination pattern online. The exam pattern provides all the information about the structure of Class 12 question papers and, hence, can help a lot during preparation. Students must follow all the tips to succeed in the PSEB 12th result 2022 Term 1.
  • Exam Syllabus: It is of utmost importance that students check all their subjects’ PSEB Class 12 syllabus. Keep a copy of it while preparing for the exams. The syllabus gives detailed information on the topics that a student must go through, and it can tell about what topics are essential for a student to get good marks.
  • Management of Time: Some students are better at Maths while some are better at Physics. To score good marks, it is essential to prioritise all subjects. But students can allot less time to a subject they have a good grasp of while giving more attention to learning the subject they find hard. Thus, one should have a good time management plan. Make a reasonable timetable that can be followed daily. Do not set unrealistic targets and give time to all Class 12 subjects.
  • Reading Textbooks: Students often spend too much time going through the reference books. These books contain material that is often not relevant for the exams. So it is always good to read textbooks prescribed by the board thoroughly as all the questions in the Class 12 board exam are based on the topics given in the textbook and use the reference books only to practise or to understand a concept in case it’s not clear in the textbooks.
  • Study Material: The quality, not the quantity of study material, can help students learn better. Too much material will waste a lot of students’ time and can lead to confusion too. It’s better that students go through all the necessary study material beforehand and during the final preparation day they should just read the quality study material. Good study material can clear their concepts and provide them with a good understanding of subjects.
  • Notes: Students must make notes while studying. It will save time during revision and will save a lot of time during the final days. Furthermore, one should always study difficult topics at the start so that during the final days, a student feels less burdened.
  • Solve Previous Years’ Question Papers: All candidates must practice at least two previous year question papers for all subjects of PSEB Class 12th. This will help them realise their weaknesses and also help them in dealing with different types of questions.
  • Attempt Mock Tests: It is quite important for students to take mock tests before exams. It will help ease out their anxiety and help them to be mentally prepared for tackling all types of problems. This gives a first-hand experience in managing time while attempting the PSEB Class 12 board exam.

Punjab Board Class 12 Exam-taking Strategy

Students of Class 12 have to deal with a lot of pressure. With studies and exams, they already have their plates full. They have to deal with constant reminders from friends and family too. Below we have provided the exam-taking strategy for PSEB Class 12 exams to score maximum marks:

  • To understand how one can score better, one must take as many sample papers and previous year’s question papers as possible. See if doing Section-A at the beginning helps better, or does Section-D before that saves time.
  • Identify the questions students struggle with and try solving many more questions of that type and take help from teachers or online resources instead of wasting time.
  • Maintain a proper sleep cycle and follow the routine students need to follow on the exam day. Sleeping late can affect their efficiency and performance during the exam.
  • Make notes and revise them, and write all the formulae, equations and important dates, which one should revise a few days before the final exam.
  • Eat a healthy and nutritious diet. Keeping healthy is important as a healthy mind needs a healthy body to function properly.
  • Make sure students have proper stationery ready a day before the exam, including pens, pencils, scales, etc.
  • Keep a printed copy of the admit card in the bag that they will take to the exam centre and avoid social media during the exam days. It is better to keep their eyes and mind away from undue stress.

Punjab Board Class 12 Detailed Study Plan

Students can follow the sample timetable we had created for the last-month preparation. Try and set a specific time to study every day, and students will find that it makes things so much easier. Also, make sure to get ample rest because our brain needs time to process all the information. We have created a study plan for students in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Computer Science. Students can change the subjects as per their stream and choices.

Days Subjects Important Tips
1-4 Maths – Mathematics is about practice. Make a list of formulae and solve questions, learn how to plot graphs and do not forget to try solved problems. Work on calculations. 1. Try having a weekly revision of what students studied during the weekdays.
2. Make notes of things that students find hard to remember.
3. Put in extra time for difficult subjects.
4. Allot extra time for the subjects that they find harder than the others.
5. Solve the sample papers/previous year papers to understand the pattern.
6. Keep calm, positive and confident.
5-9 Computer Science –Computer science is a test of programming and the best way to perform better in CS is by working on different programs and making sure to revise all the important definitions and algorithms.
