SSC GD Important Dates 2025: Check GD Constable Exam Date
SSC GD Constable Important Dates 2025-2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC GD Constable exam to hire talented aspirants. The Commission will conduct the SSC GD Constable exam on February 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, and March 1, 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, 2024. Candidates who applied for the exam can download their hall tickets online at ssc.nic.in. Furthermore, they need to enter their registration number or roll number and password to download the hall ticket.
SSC conducts the General Duty (GD) Constable exam on an annual basis and published the official notification on November , 2025. Furthermore, candidates could fill their applications from November, 2025.

SSC GD Constable Selection Process
While the important dates for the SSC GD Constable exam define the schedule for the exam, it is also important for candidates to be familiar with the complete selection process for the SSC GD Constable post. There are multiple stages of selection that a candidate has to clear before they get selected for the post of SSC GD Constable. They are as follows:
The SSC GD Constable selection process involves three stages:
- Online Written Exam (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
SSC GD Constable Online Written (CBT) Exam
The first stage of the selection process for the SSC GD Constable exam is the online written exam. It is a 90-minute exam that includes 100 questions comprising four sections:

SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
After clearing the Online Written Exam, candidates have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), in which candidates are measured against the physical standards set for the PET. The number of candidates appearing for the PET/PST will be around 10 times the number of vacancies released in the notification.

SSC GD Constable Physical Standards Test (PST)
To clear the Physical Standards Test, candidates have to cover the specified distance in a limited time duration. The criteria for male and female candidates are as aligned below:

SSC GD Constable Medical Test
The candidates who clear the PET and PST exams will be shortlisted by the exam conducting authorities and will be called for the final stage of the selection process – Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The medical test or DME is done by the medical board that is constituted by the CAPFs.
The criteria followed in the DME are as follows:
