Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Here are the criteria set by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chennai for candidates who wish to participate in the counselling session:

• Registration: Candidates must be registered with the State Medical Council (SMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI). 
• Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
• Medical Examination: Candidates who wish to pursue medical courses should be medically fit
• Domicile: Candidates must be a domicile of Tamil Nadu. If the candidate has not completed MBBS from Tamil Nadu he/she must show the certificate of nativity or any government-issued document like (Voter ID/Aadhaar Card/Driving License).  
• Degree: Candidates must have an MBBS degree from a recognised institution of the same state and candidates who do not have an MBBS degree from Dr MGR Medical University, will have to furnish an eligibility certificate.
• Completion of Internship: It is compulsory for candidates to have a Rotatory Residential Internship of 12 months on or before March 31, 2022.
• Qualifying Examination: It is mandatory for candidates to qualify NEET PG 2022 and should have a minimum qualifying percentile as mentioned below:

Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2022: Application Form

The application form for Tamil Nadu PG admission is expected to be released after the exam every year. Filing the application form is the first step for any candidates who wish to be a part of the merit list. Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chennai releases the application form via both online and offline modes. Candidates were supposed to fill in various details asked in the form like personal details, academic details and NEET PG 2022 details.

To fill out the Tamil Nadu PG Counselling application form via offline mode candidates are supposed to visit the official website, download the application form, fill it and then post it to the official address of the authorities. For filling out the application form via online mode, candidates are supposed to visit the official web portal and fill out the form. Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2022

What after Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2022? 

After the release of the merit list candidates who will have names on the merit list will get a call letter via a registered email address. The authorities will first release an official notification on the official web portal. Soon after this, they will send call letters of counselling to candidates. Those who will receive the call letter will have to pay the counselling fee of Rs. 500/- via demand draft in favour of ‘The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10’.

There will be three rounds of counselling including a mop-up round for any case of vacant seats left after the two initial rounds of counselling. While participating, candidates will have to select their preferred colleges, courses and specializations.
