Uttar Pradesh Board Class 10 Exam 2023

About Exam

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is the state education board that conducts exams for Class 10 every year. This board was founded in 1921 and held its first examination in 1923. Allahabad is the headquarters of the Uttar Pradesh Board. UP Board is also known as the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh (BHSIEUP).

The UP 10th Board administers the Class 10 exams to all Uttar Pradesh institutions. The UP 10th Board is a vital class for students because their passing grades decide their admission to higher classes. Also, this is the first time that the students appear for any board exams. The UP 10th Board is also responsible for formulating the UP Board Class 10 syllabus, curriculum design, and other activities connected to the smooth operation of the classes.

Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to hold remedial classes for the subjects Hindi, English, Science, and Mathematics for the students of classes 9 to 12. The classes will be conducted from October 2022 to January 15, 2023. The initiative has been launched to find out the reasons behind the low academic performance among government school students. The UP Education Department has identified 98,057 students from classes 9 and 10 for these classes.

  • Students are selected based multiple absences, showing poor memory skills, slow learning ability, lack of confidence in their skills.
  • The absence of a faculty for a long period or any personal reasons has also been considered.
  • The students will be assessed for three days to ensure desired results. The first assessment will be held by October 10, 2022, to test each student's foundation in the concepts. The second evaluation will be conducted from November 5 to 12, 2022, and the third from December 27, 2022, to January 15, 2023.
  • The schools will conduct a quiz after each chapter to know the students' learning situation.
  • The parents of these students will be updated about their children's progress.
  • If a school lacks faculty for any required subject, special arrangements will be made through district inspectors of schools or the Basic Shiksha Adhikari from the nearest aided, unaided or pre-secondary school.
  • The principals of these government schools are asked to cut five minutes from each class to accumulate an extra 40 minutes for the daily remedial classes.
  • These classes are created for academically weak students; but other students can also participate in the classes.

About Exam

After appearing for the UP Board Class 10 exams, students will need to appear for academic Class 11 exams. After clearing their Class 11 exams, the students will further appear for Class 12 board exams, that is unless they change the board exams. It is important that the students focus on their current exams and score good marks so that they can stay ahead in the long run.

These competitive exams are conducted to check a student's mental ability and intelligence quotient and grant scholarships to those who crack the exams. So, to benefit, every student and their parents must become aware of such competitive exams since awareness is the first step towards preparation.

A national-level examination programme (NTSE) is a competitive exam meant for school students. NTSE's aims are to identify students with exceptional academic talent and intellectual ability. Students are tested on the NCERT syllabus, which includes Science, Math, Social Science, and Mental Ability.

The students who qualify for this two-tier exam receive a cash scholarship for the entire academic year. The examination consists of two tests: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).
