UPSC follows a three-stage selection procedure to select candidates for Central Armed Police Forces. Candidates who clear the written exam are called for PST/PET and MST. UPSC CAPF 2023 Recruitment Procedure

The selection procedure for UPSC CAPF involves the following three stages:

  • 1st Stage: Written Examination

UPSC CAPF Selection Stage 1

Medical Standards Tests

Aspirants who clear PET qualify for Medical Standards Tests. In the medical test, the officials test the candidates on various medical parameters to decide whether a candidate is fit’ or ‘unfit’.

UPSC CAPF Selection Stage 3

The third and last stage of the CAPF AC selection process is an Interview/Personality Test. Candidates who cleared PST/PET and are declared medically fit in MST are called for the personality test. Furthermore, the marks for the third stage are 150 marks.

UPSC issues a Detailed Application Form (DAF) to candidates shortlisted for the Interview/Personality Test. Those shortlisted candidates have to indicate their preference for Forces in DAF. The following are the Forces under UPSC Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF):
