XAT Notification 2022-23: The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) started online registrations for XAT 2023 on August 10, 2022. Interested candidates can apply online from the official website, i.e., xatonline.in. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The registration fee is Rs. 2000/-. Furthermore, candidates interested in XLRI programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- each.

XLRI will conduct XAT 2023 on January 08, 2023. The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a national-level management examination. XLRI conducts it for admission to management programs. Furthermore, more than 160 institutes accept XAT scores for admission in MBA/ PGDM courses. XAT Notification 2023: Overview

The Xavier Aptitude Test is one of the most competitive examinations. This examination is conducted at the university level, and XLRI, Jamshedpur, is its conducting body. The exam is held to select candidates for admission into MBA/PGDM programmes.

The admission is made in XLRI Jamshedpur and XLRI Delhi-NCR campus, along with over 89 B-schools across India accepting XAT scores. XAT exam can also be taken by foreign students as well as NRIs through their GMAT scores.

XAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to abide by the eligibility criteria to apply for XAT. Check the eligibility requirements for XAT 2023 below:

1. Nationality

XAT can be attempted by the Indians as well as the Foreign and NRI applicants as well. The Foreign and NRI applicants can take this exam via their GMAT scores.

2. Qualification

Applicants applying for XAT 2022-23 should be graduates with a three-year bachelor’s or relevant degree in any stream. The minimum qualifying marks have not yet been announced by the authority.

How to Apply for XAT?

XLRI releases the XAT application form online on its official website. Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for XAT 2023:

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website- xatonline.in
  • 2nd Step: Choose the tab “Registration.”
  • 3rd Step: Enter your “Name”, “Date of Birth”, and “Contact” details.
  • 4th Step: Note down the XAT ID and Password you receive on your Email/ SMS.
  • 5th Step: Now enter your “Name”, “Father’s name”, and “Mother’s name.”
  • 6th Step: Proceed to upload your scanned “Photograph” and “Signature.”
  • 7th Step: Now go further to fill in other details of the application form.
  • 8th Step: Applicants interested in XLRI Programme(s) can apply through XAT or GMAT.
  • 9th Step: Select XAT Test City.
  • 10th Step: Now, click on the “Final Submit” button after verifying all the details entered by you.
  • 11th Step: Click on the “Payment” Tab and proceed for payment.
  • 12th Step: Take a “Printout” of the form for future reference.

XAT Application Fees

Applicants can pay the fees online by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ Master Card / Maestro), Credit Cards and Internet Banking. On completion of fee payment, applicants will be required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online application form. Below are the course-wise application fees:

Note: After submitting the payment information, candidates should wait for the intimation from the server. They should not press the back or refresh button in order to avoid double payment.

XAT Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern

XAT follows a three-level of the selection procedure:

  • Online test
  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview

XAT 2023 will be conducted in online mode and will comprise 2 parts- paper 1 and paper 2 with a total of 101 questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 10 minutes. For every wrong answer in Paper 1, 1/4 marks will be deducted. There is no negative marking in Paper 2. Below is the detailed exam pattern of XAT 2022-23:

XAT Admit Card

The XAT admit card will be released online rather than being sent individually. Candidates can download the admit card by entering the user ID and Password which they received at the time of registration. In order to attend the examination, the candidates should mandatorily produce their XAT hall ticket.

Without the production of admit cards, candidates won’t be allowed to sit for their examinations. Also, it is to be noted that it is mandatory for the candidate to bring a photocopy of the admit card along with two photographs of the candidate provided during registration. If the admit card is lost, it is the responsibility of the candidate to bring the fact immediately to the notice of authority.

Q.1: What are the eligibility criteria for the XAT exam?
Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final examination by June 2022 may also apply. All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2023. However, NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score.

Q.2: Will there be any sectional time limit in the XAT 2023 exam?

Online payments involve multiple agencies and there are chances that your payment is timed out or declined.
