The Telangana State Board of Secondary Education (TSBSE) is the education board of the state of Telangana. It is responsible for administering and managing the education system from Classes 1 to 10. The state-level board was established in 2016 at Nampally, Hyderabad, to ensure proper discipline and quality in the primary and secondary level education in Telangana.
Some of the functions of the Telangana State Board of Secondary Education include designing the course curriculum, prescribing the books for each subject, issue guidelines and affiliate schools which further need to abide by them.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Telangana, is governed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Telangana (SCERT). SCERT consists of a jury of experienced subject professionals. This panel sets the curriculum for all levels, from Classes 1 to 12.
Thus, the Class 6 syllabus is also prescribed by the same committee. SCERT prescribes a total of six subjects for Class 6 under the Telangana State Board. That includes three languages and three core subjects. All three core subjects are offered in seven mediums – Telugu, Tamil, English, Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, and Marathi. BSE, Telangana gives liberty to students when it comes to choosing the first two languages. Mentioned below is the detailed description of the subjects.
First Language | Telugu/Urdu/Hindi |
Second Language | Sanskrit/Urdu/Hindi/Telugu |
Third Language | English |

When the examinations are near, students naturally get anxious about their performance in the exams. However, with the right preparation tips and a dedicated approach, you can easily score well in the examination. We, at Embibe, have compiled a list of useful preparation tips for students of Class 6.
As a student of Class 6, you need to study for 3-4 hours every day in order to stay updated with the syllabus. However, you should make sure that you don’t exhaust yourself in the process. Stay healthy while studying hard.
Studying new topics and concepts every day should not mean that you forget the previous ones. Revise what you study each day. A quick revision takes less than an hour but can help you memorise better and effectively. Make sure to mark all the important chapters and points, it will make your revision strategy stronger.
Take short notes of each and every important thing you come across while studying. Shorter notes will help you do a quick revision. Also, you can study those notes a day before the exam instead of going through the entire syllabus at a stretch. Notes will help you remember the basic concept and summary of every chapter in just a few minutes. Not only will this save you time, but will also give you a quick revision.
A timetable will help you strategise your preparation and learning in a more effective manner. A study timetable is always helpful to ensure you stay on track, remain stress-free, and don’t lag behind your peers.
