How to Choose CAT Exam Centres 2023?

The notification for IIM CAT Exam 2023 was issued on July 31, 2023. Candidates willing to fill out the application form need to choose test centres as per their preferences while filling out the application form. The test centres will be allotted based on city preferences filled in during the registration. The process of choosing exam centres is listed below:

• 1st Step: Candidates must visit the official website to register for CAT 2023.
• 2nd Step: Create a login ID and register on the website and fill out the online application form.
• 3rd Step: While filling out the application form, a candidate will reach a tab of exam centres “select test city”.
• 4th Step: Here candidate will have to select 6 cities as per the preference. The city mentioned first will be the most preferred and the last filled city means least preferred.
• 5th Step: After this, the candidate must fill out the rest of the fields by themselves and make a payment of the exam fee to submit the application form.

• 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.

Important Points on CAT Test Centres

Test cities will be mentioned on the CAT website, and the details of the test centre will be shown on the admit card. Let’s check the below-mentioned points related to the exam centres:

• Candidates can change the exam test city as the exam conducting body provides the facility to change their test city preference during the CAT application form correction.
• Exam centres will be allotted on the basis of preference of the choices that are filled by the candidate.
• If the first choice filled preference is not available, then the candidate will be assigned a second preference.
• Selection of the test city will be done in order of preference starting from first to sixth.

CAT Admit Card 2023

Candidates who have filled out the application form successfully will be able to download the CAT admit card 2023. On the admit card, candidates can check their allotted exam centre name and address. Once they download their admit cards, they can locate the test centre through the google maps link. CAT 2023 Exam Day Guidelines

Aspirants after successfully filling out the application form must check the exam day guidelines:

• Candidates must reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the gate gets closed.
• Carry the admit card, and the required documents along to the exam centre.
• The candidate’s primary reference identity is the application number.

Do’s for Candidates

• CAT admit card must be carried.
• The candidate must fix the photograph in the space provided on CAT admit card.
• The candidate must carry the admit card along with identity proof.
• Make use of the Google Maps link to locate the exam centres.
• Candidates must report to the test centre before the reporting time.
• The candidate will have to undergo document verification, IRIS and photo capture, and temperature checking with the thermal gun.
