CBSE Class 12 Marking Scheme 2024

The minimum percentage a candidate must score to pass each CBSE Class 12 board exam subject is 33%. Moreover, the candidate must also secure at least 33% aggregate marks to pass the board exam. Candidates who secure 33% or above aggregate marks but below 33% in any subject must appear for the supplementary exam.

  • There would be a minimum of 30% competency-based questions in the form of multiple-choice questions, case-based questions, source-based integrated questions or any other types.
  • Objective-type questions will be 20%.
  • The remaining 50% will be the short answer/long answer questions (as per the existing pattern)
