Preparation Tips

Candidates can review the stages for MAH HM CET exam preparation before the exam and the MAH HM CET exam preparation strategy below.

  • Make a Study Schedule

Students will be more productive if you have a well-organised study schedule for MAH HM CET. Candidates must first comprehend the exam framework before doing a self-evaluation of their strengths and limitations.

Divide your time for each component according to your needs, and make sure you stick to your schedule. Use the ‘Target Vs Time strategy to guarantee that you meet your weekly goals, which will serve as milestones in your preparation.

  • Get Yourself a Good Collection of Study Materials

It is critical to study from the appropriate books or materials. Students may become confused as a result of inappropriate books. As a result, aspirants should begin their studies with NCERT and books recommended by their mentors or previous year’s exam toppers. Candidates can also consult the top MAH HM CET books.

  • Maintain an Up-to-Date General Knowledge Base

There are 30 questions in the General Knowledge and Current Affairs portion, but how do you prepare for it? When it comes to GK, many kids are uninformed. Daily newspapers and general guidebooks such as ‘The Manorama Guide’ should be read. Make the Internet your buddy by signing up for online notifications and browsing popular websites to stay informed.

  • Improve English Language Abilities

MAH HM CET’s English Language component has the potential to be a scoring section for candidates. Reading newspapers and daily articles might help you improve your vocabulary. Begin by reviewing all of the grammar fundamentals and practising reading passages on a regular basis. Wren and Martin, for example, are wonderful books to consult.

Exam Taking Strategy

  • Exam Taking Strategy

During the MAH HM CET exam, students can go through the following instructions listed below:

  • Pay Close Attention to the Directions and Suggestions

You’ve started answering the questions, but have you thoroughly read the instructions? Many of us believe it is insignificant. Well, it isn’t always the case. Perhaps the pattern has simply changed, and the only way to become acquainted with it is to carefully study the directions.

Always keep an eye out for the marking scheme. Then respond to the questions appropriately.

  • Proportionally Manage your Time

Set aside time for each segment and question. The paper will take three hours to complete and will contain 200 questions. If you can’t answer a question, move on to the next one. If you have time, you may be able to mark the tougher questions and return to them at the end.

  • Focus on Each Question

Students are advised to take the first easy and simple questions. Do not waste more time on a single question.

  • Keep your Cool and Do not Give Up

MAH HM CET is a simple exam; all you need is confidence in the exam paper. Don’t be concerned if you can’t answer some of the questions. If you’ve done your homework, the question that’s troubling you might be troubling the rest of the class as well.

Dos and Donts

  • Do’s

The following are some of the points to be remembered:

  • Solve sample papers- Look over some previous year’s question papers, MAH HM CET mock tests, and MAH HM CET sample papers from the last 10 years and practise as much as you can.
  • Rehearse the topics you’ve prepared — Rather than attempting or beginning to read a new topic, it would be more beneficial to review your already prepared themes. The more you practise, the closer you’ll go to mastery.
  • Do not attempt or begin any new topics– You do not need to attempt or begin any new topics that you may have missed during your MAH HM CET exam preparation. Believe the facts since they won’t help you; instead, they’ll make you fearful or stressed.
  • Arrange your exam materials and articles ahead of time – stitching in advance saves nine! You’ll find it easier to organise your documents and articles the day before the exam. It will keep you from freaking out at the eleventh hour.
  • Check the Location of the Exam Centre Before Leaving- Before leaving for the exam location, test takers can check the location of the exam centre on Google Maps. This not only allows you to estimate the time it will take you to get from your house to the exam centre, but it also allows you to keep track of traffic.
  • Carry crucial documents- Exam takers must bring documents such as their admit card and photo ID proof with them on test day.
  • Don’ts

Some of the points to be remembered which are not acceptable are listed below:

  • Remember to bring a hard copy of your MAH B.HMCT CET admission card as well as a photo ID. As ID proof, a digital duplicate of the same will not be accepted.
  • Do not arrive late for your exam. 15 minutes before the start of the exam, the gates will be closed.
  • Do not sign your admissions card before you arrive. Only in front of the invigilator may the admit card be signed.
  • Mobile phones, calculators, digital watches, iPads, and other electronic devices should not be carried. These items are not permitted in the examination room.
  • Food and baggage should not be carried. It’s possible that you won’t be able to deposit them at the exam centre.
  • Don’t start with your weak areas when taking the test. You might wind yourself devoting more time to that portion, affecting your total time management.
  • Do not rush through the RC portions. They should be read thoroughly, slowly, and at least twice. To eliminate bad possibilities, use the negation technique.
  • Because the MAH CET exam contains negative marking, don’t attempt a question you’re not confident you’ll be able to answer correctly.
  • Skip a question or calculation if it takes too long and go on to the next one. Every second counts, so don’t waste it on questions you don’t think you can answer adequately.
