IBPS Clerk Mains Pattern – Key Points

The IBPS Clerk’s main exam paper has some stipulations for all the candidates, which they must follow.

• The total time allotted for the Mains exam is 2 hours and 40 minutes.
• The total marks allotted are 200, and candidates scoring above the cut-off are invited to join as clerks in one of the PSBs.
• Each section is separately timed, in other words, there is a separate time duration allotted for each section, and candidates must finish off each section within the allotted time.

IBPS Clerk Marking Scheme

The marking pattern of the IBPS Clerk Exam is quite similar to the previous years and the detailed scheme is given below.

• The marking scheme for IBPS Clerk Prelims and Mains is different.
• However, for unattempted questions, there will be no negative marking.
• Each question in the General/Financial Awareness, General English, and Quantitative Aptitude sections is worth one mark, and an incorrect response will cost a deduction of 0.25 points.
• Each question in the Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude section will be worth 1.20 points, with 0.30 points deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Candidates must clear both the overall and sectional cut-offs in both the prelims and main exams.
