About Exam

The Kerala Board State Education Board regulates and supervises the education for Class 9. The Board prescribes the SCERT curriculum for all its state-affiliated schools. There are total 11 subjects in Kerala Board Class 9, out of which Social Science, English, Malayalam, Maths and Science subjects are compulsory. Kerala Board Class 9 Exam Summary 2024

The Kerala Board Class 9 examination is conducted annually. The final exam is held by respective schools internally. The students who pass the Class 9 final exam can take admission to Class 10. Class 9 is a non-board level exam and the marks scored in Class 9 are not considered in Class 10. 

The Kerala Board Class 9 syllabus aims at introducing students to new concepts, which help them understand the more complex topics in higher classes. The Class 9 subject exams are held for total 100 marks. Students need to score at least 33% in the final exam to pass.
