NTSE Stage I - Bihar Study Plan to Maximise Score

Study Plan to Maximise Score

Preparation Tips

  • Students should emphasise the fundamentals of their studies. Clearing the fundamentals will enable them to gain practical knowledge, increasing their chances of selection. This is one of the most effective NTSE preparation tips.
  • Students must take notes and revise them on a regular basis while studying for the exam. Regularly reviewing notes on important topics will allow students to go over the main points at any time.
  • Once the preparation is complete, the previous year’s NTSE question papers should be consulted. Solving these papers will teach students about the exam’s difficulty level, marking scheme, and frequently asked questions.
  • Students should look for the best books for NTSE preparation because these books will help them study the specific topics that are important for exams. Students should exercise extreme caution when selecting books because not all topics are relevant to the exam.

Subject wise Preparation Tips

Mathematics
  • Make a sheet with all of the formulas so you can revise them as needed.
  • Make a list of your strongest and weakest areas of expertise. Divide your time accordingly so that you can devote enough time to your weak areas and improve.
  • Planned practise is the key to excelling in math. Practice all kinds of sums and problems. Do not skip any chapter or topic just because it is simple. Solve practise sheets on NTSE Guru to strengthen your grasp on subjects. This will elevate your preparation to an entirely new level.
  • Pay close attention to algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and probability because these chapters are heavily weighted.
  • Revise all of the theorems as many times as possible.
Science
  • The majority of the science chapters are linked together. As a result, make certain that your fundamentals are crystal clear.
  • Every day, go over the periodic table.
  • Carbon and its compounds would necessitate a great deal of your attention. Students find it difficult and confusing, and as a result, they skip the chapter. This is an important chapter that you should not skip. You can review the chapter in the concept lectures section and practise it in the practice lectures section on the Embibe application or site.
  • Make a list of all the physical laws and go over them every day.
  • Examine diagrams of the human eye, binary fission in amoeba, bisexual flower, and so on.
Social Science
  • Make summary notes after reading each chapter at least once.
  • Learn about all of the significant years.
  • Read about all of the battles and significant events.
  • Remember important people’s names.
  • Try to memorise the answer in the form of bullet points. The first point should give birth to the second. This will assist you in developing a story. As a student, remembering a story would be easier than memorising an answer.
  • Make sure your definitions are complete.

NTSE Stage I - Bihar Exam Taking Strategy

  • Follow Your Own Strategy

By now you would have established a strategy to solve the questions in the exams while preparing for NTSE examinations which gives you a stronghold during the examination. Follow the same strategy while writing the exam.

  • Read and Follow the Instructions in the Question Paper

Another thing to keep in mind is that in recent exams, instructions played a significant role in confusing candidates to a greater extent. It also appeared to be a checkmate for many candidates in the recent tests. So, before answering any questions, carefully read the instructions because your surprise could also be in those instructions.

  • Be Prepared Beforehand

To avoid last-minute stress, spend the day before the exam relaxing and focusing on the necessary preparations, such as checking the exam site and keeping the exam materials ready, such as the admit card, pen, pencil, and other important items.

  • Do not Take Stress

Spend the least amount of time possible on each question. If you are unsure about the previous one, proceed to the next question while keeping the time limit in mind. If you are unable to answer two or three questions in a row, you should not be concerned because this will disrupt your mental focus and result in chaos.

  • Choose your Questions Carefully

Because this is a timed exam, not a practice test, be selective in your question selection and pay attention to the questions that are easier and may result in easy marks. Put it at the bottom of your list if you’re not good at problem-solving. If you’re good at solving random problems in the reasoning section, you’ll be able to move on to the next ones quickly. The easier ones earn you easy points while also saving you time.

NTSE Stage I - Bihar Detail Study Plan

  • Understanding Bihar NTSE Stage-I Syllabus

Bihar NTSE syllabus is the same as the school curriculum, and students can download sample papers in pdf format. The NTSE Bihar syllabus covers classes 9 and 10 of India’s recognised education boards such as CBSE, ICSE, and others. Recognise which topics and chapters each subject covers. Also, become acquainted with the exam format. NCERT textbooks are the primary source of questions in the NTSE Aptitude Test (class 9th and 10th). After studying NCERT textbooks, you can consult other specialised books.

  • Taking Mock Tests

The organising committee providesNTSE mock test. It assists students in understanding exam patterns and managing time to answer questions on the test. The most effective way to determine where you’re falling behind and your weaknesses is to solve question papers, sample papers, and mock tests. If you’re having trouble with a subject, try answering the questions. Only by focusing on your areas of weakness can you grow and gain confidence. There are a variety of online mock exams available to help you get a sense of the difficulty level of the questions.. Focus on high-quality questions and simulated tests.

  • Solving Previous Year Sample Papers Individual sample paper files for the MAT (Mental Ability Test) and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) sections are available. Solving sample papers helps students improve their fundamental knowledge, time management skills, and understanding of theories and principles. Solving these question papers teaches you about the difficulty level of the exam, the types of questions asked, and critical sections, among other things. It also increases the likelihood of passing the exam with flying colours.

Best Books to Study for NTSE 2021-22

Please keep in mind the following points and arrange a happy healthy study environment at home.
