A: Candidates are offered two types of increment after getting a job through SSC MTS exam. The two types of increments are annual increment and promotion increment.   • Candidates get promotion from 1800 grade pay to 1900 grade pay after 3 years of regular service.

  • After the next 5 years of regular service, candidates get promotion from 2000 grade pay to 2400 grade pay.

  • Candidates need to have a matriculation or equivalent examination degree to appear for the SSC MTS exam.
  • Candidates must be above the age of 18 and below the age of 25 to appear for the SSC MTS exam as of 1st August, 2022.
  • There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
