The Tripura Board of Secondary Education, also known as TBSE, was established in 1973 and started functioning in 1976. The board designed and developed the syllabus, curriculum, and textbooks during this period. However, since 2015, the board has designed and adopted the new syllabus. Before 1973, all the schools of Tripura were affiliated with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
Now, TBSE is in charge of the state’s education system and has its headquarters in Agartala, Tripura. The board is in charge of improving the state’s education system and it is responsible to for the literacy rate of 87.75%. So to get a good score and get promoted to class 10 students of Tripura Board Class 9 must check the syllabus, exam details, and other important information and prepare well for the exam.
The Tripura Board conducts two major examinations: half-yearly and final exams. Both examinations are written exams, and students must clear the same to get promoted to Class 10. The half-yearly examination covers half of the syllabus, and the final examination covers the entire syllabus covered in the Tripura Board Class 9 curriculum.
For Tripura Board Class 9, from the registration process to conducting examinations and correcting papers, the school takes all the responsibility. For distance learners and private individuals the registration is through their respective examination centres.
