UPSC CAPF AC Paper-1 Exam Pattern 2022
The UPSC CAPF 2022 written exam is the first stage for the selection of candidates for the next round. The exam is held in accordance with the exam pattern announced by the UPSC in the official notification.
UPSC CAPF AC Paper-I will be in bilingual language (Hindi and English excluding English paper).

UPSC CAPF AC Selection Process 2022
The CAPF AC Selection process involves 4 stages. Candidates clearing all these stages only will be eligible to become an Assistant Commandant in the CAPF. The stages that the candidates have to undergo before selection are given below:
Paper-1 Written Examination
Questions in the paper-1 exam will be Objective Type questions.
There will be a maximum of 125 questions, carrying 250 marks (2 marks each).
The exam has to be completed within 2 hours (120 minutes).
The questions in the Paper-1 exam will be based on General Ability and Intelligence.
There will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
Paper-2 Written Examination
Questions in the Paper-2 exam will be Descriptive Type questions.
There will be a total of 6 questions, carrying 200 marks overall.
The paper will be divided into two sections.
Section-1 will consist of Essay Type Questions.
Section-2 will consist of Comprehension, précis writing & language skills.
The total duration of the paper will be 3 hours (180 minutes).
Candidates securing the cut-off marks in Paper-1 will only be considered to attend the Paper-2 examination.
There will be no negative marking in the Paper-2 examination.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standards Test (PST)
Candidates clearing both the written tests will be eligible to attend the Physical Standards Test that will be conducted by the authorities.

People clearing the PET/PST will qualify for the next round of selection, the medical test.
Interview/Personality Test
After the medical tests, eligible candidates will be called for the final round of selection, the Interview/Personality Test.
Total marks in the Interview/Personality Test will be 150.
Applicants who clear this interview round will be asked their preferences of forces for final recruitment.
The Commission will then release the final merit list on the grounds of the candidates’ scores in the written exams and interviews.
