How To Calculate CAT Score?

Follow the procedures below to calculate the CAT 2023 score using the answer key:

• Three marks are awarded for each correct answer, thus, if the candidate correctly answers 50 questions, the score will be 50×3 = 150.
• One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. So, if a candidate marks 10 questions incorrectly, he or she will receive a ten-point penalty.
• To calculate the CAT Raw score, subtract the total marks deducted from the total marks scored, which is 150-10 = 140.

If any candidates find any discrepancy in the provisional CAT 2023 Answer Key, they can raise an objection against it through the candidate login. If the exam officials find that the objection raised by the applicant is correct, they will refund the objection amount to the candidate’s same account.

When the objection-raising date gets over, the authority deactivates the window and starts analysing or verifying all the objections. If the authority finds that the objection raised by the candidate is not genuine, the objection will be turned down.

• Applicants will then be redirected to a new page where they will have to enter their login credentials.
• A new page will open up where candidates have to enter personal details.
• Click on the “Objection Form” tab.
• Then choose the question number, section name, and type of objection from the provisional answer key. Applicants, while making an objection, will have to raise the objection by selecting any of the three options below:
  – None of the options is correct
  – More than one correct option.
  – The answer key is incorrect
• Applicants will be given an opportunity to add comments or remarks that too of about 500 words while raising an objection.
• Make a payment of Rs 1200 per question.
• After submitting the objection, it cannot be altered.
• There is no restriction on the number of questions to which a candidate raises an objection.

• If the objection raised question is found invalid, no objection fee will be refunded.
• A single applicant can raise more than one objection against the answer key to as many questions as they want.

• After releasing the final answer key, the officials will not accept any objections.
