CAT Selection Process Details 2023
The CAT selection process has three rounds. IIMs will call candidates who secure the cut-off percentile for the interview round and for GD or WAT. The three rounds of the CAT exam selection process are as follows:

CAT Entrance Exam
The IIMs conduct the CAT exam annually to offer admission into various IIMs and B-schools. The IIMs will provide the CAT cut-off marks after the result is declared. On the basis of the cut-off for each college, candidates will be called for further stages to determine their selection.
The IIM CAT 2023 exam will be conducted by IIM Lucknow. This year the IIM CAT exam is expected to be conducted on November 26, 2023.

3rd Step: Click on the “Getting a Government Job” menu bar.
4th Step: Select the Goal “Management” from the dropdown and click on “Next”.
5th Step: Search and select “CAT” on the search bar and click on “Next”.
6th Step: Select the preferred language and click on “Done”.
7th Step: Click “Practice” from the header section.
8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
9th Step: Click on any CAT subjects.
10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.
CAT Group Discussion and Written Ability Test
Candidates who will secure the cut-off marks will have to appear for GD and WAT, depending on which institution they are applying for. The second stage of the CAT selection process, i.e. GD round and the WAT, will test candidates’ general knowledge, communication skills, aptitude, and presence of mind.
CAT Personal Interview
Candidates will then be called for the Personal Interview round, which is the last stage of the CAT selection process. The Institutes will look at several parameters, such as professionalism. Candidates will also be evaluated on their performance in previous rounds. The PI round will carry a total weightage of 30 marks to the final merit list.
