The only eligibility criteria for the ESIC SSO Mains exam is to qualify in the prelims exam. However, candidates who fail to meet the following eligibility criteria, will not be permitted to take the exam.
Age Criteria for ESIC SSO Mains
A candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 27 as mentioned in the official notification of ESIC SSO. This age falls into the general category. Education Qualification for ESIC SSO Mains
Candidates must have a certain educational qualification to be eligible for ESIC SSO Recruitment. The requirements include
- A recognised university degree (Commerce/Law/Management degrees will be given preference).
- Computer skills, including the use of office suites and databases
Three years’ service in a government organisation, corporation, government undertaking, local body, scheduled bank, and so on. is preferred.
Nationality for ESIC SSO Mains
A candidate must be either:
- An Indian citizen, or
- A Nepalese or
- A Bhutanese or
- Tibetan refugee who came to India with the intention of permanently settling in India before January 1, 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Number of Attempts for ESIC SSO Mains
There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for the ESIC SSO exam. A candidate who fits all other parameters of the qualifying criteria and is under the age of 27 years old can take the ESIC SSO test.
