IBPS PO Nationality/ Citizenship

Aspirants must be either:

  • Citizens of India, or
  • Subjects of Nepal, or
  • Subjects of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before January 01, 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
  • An Indian-origin person who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

Note that candidates belonging to the 2nd to 4th points above must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

IBPS PO Age Limit Criteria

The age criteria for aspirants are as follows:

  • The lower age limit is 20 years. Candidates must have been born not later than August 01, 2002.
  • The upper age limit is 30 years. Aspirants must have been born no earlier than August 02, 1992.

Reserved category candidates are also entitled to get age relaxations in the upper age limit as per the following:

IBPS PO Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university by the Govt. of India.
  • Candidates having any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government can also apply for IBPS PO Prelims.
  • Aspirants must possess a valid mark sheet/ degree certificate on the day they fill IBPS PO application form.

Note:

  • All educational qualifications should be from a university/ institution/ board recognised by the Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies.
  • The final result of the candidates should have been declared on or before August 22, 2022.
  • Candidates must indicate the graduation percentage calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application.
  • In case of CGPA/ OGPA is awarded, aspirants must convert the same into a percentage and indicate it in the online application.
