IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2022: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2022 in its official notification on August 1, 2022. The Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam will be conducted to select candidates for the IBPS PO exam (CRP XI). After the Mains, there will be a face-to-face interview.

The IBPS PO Recruitment is conducted in three stages, i.e., Prelims, Mains and Interview. IBPS PO Prelims and Mains exams have different paper patterns. Both the exams are conducted in the computer-based test mode. There is separate sectional timing for each section in both preliminary and main exams.

The IBPS PO Prelims exam is the first step of the selection procedure. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature and will be conducted to filter out the candidates for Mains Exam. The marks scored in the Prelims exam will not be considered to prepare for the final result.

Important Points:
The candidates who qualify for the sectional and overall cut-off for IBPS PO Prelims will be eligible to appear in the Mains exam for IBPS PO. The cut-off for the Mains will depend on the number of vacancies available.
Before the completion of the interview process, the scores obtained in the Mains exam will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for the personal interview process. The total number of questions and the maximum marks for each section of the Mains exam are given below:

Important Points:
The candidates who are qualifying for the main exam will be called for the Interview rounds. The participating organisations will conduct the Personal Interview separately in coordination with the Nodal Bank of each state IBPS. A separate admit card will be issued to the eligible candidates for the interview. The Personal Interview will be conducted for 100 Marks. The qualifying marks for the PI are 35% for the reserved category and 40% for others.
Note that the final selection of the aspirants will be made on the basis of their performances in both Main and Personal Interviews. The ratio of qualifying marks for Online Main and the Interview is 80:20, respectively. The candidates must score as high as possible in both Main and Personal interviews to ensure provisional allotment.

It is important to qualify for the cut-off in all three sections to qualify for the IBPS PO Mains exam. For every incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of 1/4th of the marks allotted to the questions. There is no penalty for unattempted questions.
The IBPS PO Mains exam has both objective and descriptive papers. Also, note that the negative marking scheme is only applicable to the objective questions.
