IPMAT Preparation Tips for Quantitative Ability:

Preparing for an admission exam necessitates dedication and hard effort. Here are some helpful hints on how to approach each section:

  • This section contains 20 questions.
  • You have to practise your ability to solve problems mathematically.
  • This section is generally time-consuming and difficult, so practice time management.
  • Because questions are requested from both basic and upper maths, you must be well-versed in all mathematics topics from 9th to 12th grade.
  • In this section, use study materials and practice tests to enhance your time management.
  • One should start with Arithmetic in the Quantitative Ability section. Percentages, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Time, Speed, Distance, Pipes and Cistern, Linear and Quadratic Equations, Simple and Compound Interest are the critical topics in Arithmetic.
  • It is critical to establish a good foundation in Arithmetic since it will aid you in solving even the most difficult questions. It is crucial and provides the backbone of your Quants preparation.
  • Geometry comes after Arithmetic. Geometry is the one subject that appears in all of the tests. In the geometry section, solid foundations are also essential.
  • It covers a substantial portion of problems after Arithmetic and should be adequately prepared for by revisiting and practising ideas and questions on a regular basis.
  • After Geometry, Algebra comes next. Logs, exponents, inequalities, functions, and so forth. In terms of the importance of preparation, these are ranked third.

  • There are additional 20 questions in this portion that evaluate your reasoning ability.
  • The only way to do well in this part is to practise. Go over the course material and practise all of the subjects.
  • In this area, relying on theoretical knowledge will not help you, so focus on your logical skills.
  • Once you are familiar with the tactics, you will have no trouble scoring well in this part.
  • Going over past year’s exam papers and solving them as mocks can undoubtedly assist you in getting a better understanding of the exam.
  • When offering mock exams, make sure to replicate the exam environment. It is also crucial to analyse the mocks.
  • Examine the solutions not only for the problems you got wrong or skipped but also for the ones you could have gotten right.
  • Verifying with the solution eliminates the possibility of answering the question by accident and reinforces your foundations.
  • You must comprehend the information and respond to the questions. In general, questions are not difficult to answer.
  • Go through the previous year’s exam questions.

  • The importance of reading comprehension in this section cannot be overstated. Candidates frequently find sections to be too long.
  • This part would benefit from you developing a habit of reading on a regular basis.
  • When it comes to studying for the verbal ability and reading comprehension sections, cultivating a reading habit takes precedence.
  • This habit can be developed by reading for half an hour every day. Do not get caught up in the trap of rapid reading.
  • To be able to comprehend any piece, you must first read. With practice, you will be able to read more fluently and understand the article more quickly.
  • Do not limit yourself to one type of reading; instead, attempt to broaden your horizons.
  • Many questions such as sentence rearrangement, sentence correction, definitions, opposites, choosing the odd one out, and so on are included in the IPM exams.

Interview Questions

Important Interview Questions for IPM Rohtak

The interviewers are looking for individuals who will fit in well at their institute and who have the ability and desire to work hard. There are some questions or subjects that are frequently asked in the IPM Rohtak Personal Interview.

1. Your Personal Information: In practically every interview, the necessary introduction questions are “tell us something about yourself” or “introduce yourself to us.” Prepare a well-written response to this question that avoids the overused pattern.

The interviewers want to know about you as a person, and you must tell them in the most engaging manner possible. Share your interests and hobbies.

2. Weaknesses and Strengths: This is also one of the most often asked questions in IPM Rohtak interviews. You must respond to this question strategically, especially when discussing your flaws.

Find interesting ways to express your academic and other strengths and flaws. Do not just declare, “I’m a hard worker,” but rather explain how you have used your abilities in various ways.

They want to know how well you know yourself and how effectively you can work to overcome your flaws when they inquire about your weaknesses. Declaring that you do not have any might come out as arrogant. At the same time, you must be honest and confident about who you are.

3. Plans for the Future: “Can you tell me about your ideal job path?” or “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” are examples of questions to which you should be able to confidently respond. They do not want you to have a well-thought-out future strategy. They want students that have a certain goal in mind and are willing to work hard to achieve it.

4. Candidates with a business background are frequently quizzed on current events in the business sector. It is critical to have a fundamental understanding of the modern corporate world. The interviewer wants to discover how familiar you are with the business world’s practical features. You should brush up on your fundamental business knowledge and stay up to speed.

They also inquire about broad business subjects such as “what are the top five attributes of a manager?” and “how would you define your management style?”

5. Current Events: The applicants are also quizzed on basic current events. The question might be about anything that is going on around the globe right now. To effectively answer such questions, you must read the newspaper every day and keep up with current events.

You can show the interviewer your confident self if you prepare everything ahead of time, which is the whole point of the personal interview. Show off your charisma and be yourself. Do not undervalue your abilities.
